(પ્રતિનિધિ દ્વારા) ગાંધીનગર, બુધવાર : ગુજરાતમાં વિધાનસભા ચૂંટણીના અનુસંધાને મતદાન દિવસ સુધી દરેક જિલ્લામાં કાયદો અને વ્યવસ્થા સંભાળવા તથા પોલીસદળ અને કેન્દ્રીય સુરક્ષા દળોની વ્યવસ્થા સંભાળવા જિલ્લા પોલીસ વડા- ડીએસપી ઉપર અન્ય રાજ્યના ડીઆઈજી અથવા આઈજી કક્ષાના સીનિયર આઈપીએસ અધિકારીઓ નિરીક્ષકો તરીકે મૂકાશે. કેન્દ્રીય ચૂંટણી પંચે મુક્ત અને ન્યાયી ચૂંટણી કરાવવાનો
તેનો આશય પાર પાડવા માટે છેલ્લા બે વર્ષ દરમિયાન ૧૦ રાજ્યોમાં થયેલી ચૂંટણીમાં આ પ્રકારની પધ્ધતિ અપનાવી છે. જો કે ગુજરાતમાં પહેલીવાર આવો પ્રયોગ થશે. ગુજરાતના મુખ્ય ચૂંટણી અધિકારી અનિતા કરવાલે બુધવારે પત્રકાર પરિષદમાં આ જાહેરાત કરતા જણાવ્યં હતું કે, સમગ્ર જિલ્લામાં ચાંપતી નજર રાખવા માટે આ ડીઆઈજી કે આઈજી કક્ષાના પોલીસ ઓબ્ઝર્વર ટૂંક સમયમાં આવશે અને મતદાન પૂરું થાય
ત્યાં સુધી ગુજરાતમાં રોકાશે.ગુજરાતમાં પહેલીવાર બીજા રાજ્યોમાંથી પોલીસ નિરીક્ષકો આવવાના છે, તે પ્રમાણે ચૂંટણી પહેલાં મતદારોને જાગૃત કરવા અને તે દ્વારા મતદાન વધારવા માટે ચૂંટણી પંચની ગુજરાત ઓફિસ દ્વારા ચાલતી કામગીરી ઉપર દેખરેખ રાખવા પહેલીવાર બીજા રાજ્યોમાંથી ઓબ્ઝર્વર આવશે.મુખ્ય ચૂંટણી અધિકારીએ એક પ્રશ્નના ઉત્તરમાં એવી સ્પષ્ટતા કરી હતી કે, ગુજરાતના પ્રધાનો તથા
વિધાનસભામાં પદો સંભાળતા રાજકીય હોદ્દેદારો જેઓ અત્યારે સરકારી મોબાઈલ ફોન તથા સરકારી રહેણાંક ખાતે લેન્ડલાઈન ફોનનો ઉપયોગ કરે છે, તેમની પાસેથી ત્રીજી ઓક્ટોબર એટલે કે ગુજરાતમાં આચારસંહિતાનો અમલ શરૃ થયો ત્યાર પછીના સમયનું બિલ વસૂલ કરવામાં આવશે. આ જ પ્રમાણે 'નમો ગુજરાત' ચેનલ ઉપરથી નામાંકન બાદ ભાજપના કોઈપણ ઉણેદવારને મત આપવા સંબંધી પ્રચાર કરવામાં આવશે તો તે સ્લોટનો ખર્ચ

The best wildlife photographers from
around the world captured these incredible images of beasts and birds in
their natural habitat - from Antarctica to Bedfordshire.
The
astonishing selection of images of animals across the globe were
shortlisted for the Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year
award.The winning shot was a beautiful snap of emperor penguins
swimming through the icy waters of the Ross Sea in Antarctica.
Emperors crowned: Paul Nicklen's incredible
underwater photo of emperor penguins gliding beneath the icy sea won the
Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year award
Bright eyes: Larry Lynch took this amazing and
sinister photo of an alligator in Myakka River State Park in Sarasota,
Florida, USA
Face-off: Sergey Gorshkov captured this snow
geese running into trouble with an arctic fox on Wrangel Island in
northeastern Russia
Happy feet: Paul Nicklen also captured this
incredible image of emperor penguins escaping leopard seals in the Ross
Sea, Antarctica
The image by photographer Paul Nicklen, from Canada, took the top
spot in the international competition.
Mr
Nicklen spent hours in wait for the penguins to charge to the surface
through a rare break in the ice so he could capture this stunning image.
He
said: 'It was a fantastic sight as hundreds launched themselves out of
the water and onto the ice above me - a moment that I felt incredibly
fortunate to witness and one I'll never forget.'The finalists had
snapped a vast
range of wild animals - from a rare ghost bear sitting down for lunch
to a fox being chased by a golden eagle.The hundred shortlisted images
will be on show at the Natural History Museum in London until March
2013.
Isolation: Ole Jorgen Liodden captured this stranded polar bear around
the islands of Svalbard in northern Norway
Cold and alone: Anna Henly was on a boat in
Svalbard - an archipelago midway between mainland Norway and the North
Pole - when she spotted this polar bear at around four in the morning
Predator: Stefan Huwiler hiked for five
kilometres in thick snow in the Sinite Kamani National Park in Bulgaria
to reach a hide known to be a golden eagle hotspot. There he found one
of the awe-inspiring creatures hunting a fox

from cheetahs in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

આ માટે છેક ઉપલા લેવલે થી જ નક્કી થઈ શકે છે. આ ગણતરી કરતાં ડીસેમ્બર
સુધીમાં ભાદર ડેમ સાવ ખાલી થઈ જાય. જેતપુરને પીવાના પાણી માટે કોઈ જ અન્ય
વિકલ્પ નથી. જેતપુરમાં સરેરાશ
૪પ ઈંચ વરસાદ પડે છે ત્યારે આ વરસે ફકત ૧૦ ઈંચ જેટલો જ વરસાદ પડેલ
હોવાથી પીવાના પાણીની ગંભીર સમસ્યા પેદા થઈ છે. વરસો પહેલાની વાત કરીએ તો
ભાદરડેમ જેતપુર, ધોરાજી, ઉપલેટા તાલુકાના ગામડાઓની સિંચાઈ માટે બનાવવામાં
આવેલ છે. કુદરતી નિયમ મુજબ ભાદર ડેમના પાણી પર ડાઉન સ્ટ્રીમમાં આવતા
ગામનો હકક પહેલા હોય છે. પરંતુ ૧૯૮૪માં પેદા થયેલ પાણીની ગંભીર સમસ્યાને
કારણે ભાદર ડેમમાંથી રાજકોટ
માટે યુદ્ધના ધોરણે પાઈપલાઈન નાખી રાજકોટવાસીઓને તે વખતના કલેકટરે પાણી
પુરૃ પાડેલું હતું. બાદમાં અનેક સારા વરસો થયા ભાદર ડેમ દર વરસે પુરો
ભરાઈ જતો અને પાણીની કોઈ મુશ્કેલ ન હોવાથી રાજકોટ માટે પાણીના અન્ય કોઈ જ
વિકલ્પ વિચારવાને બદલે ભાદરડેમને પોતાનો માની વરસો સુધી રાજકોટવાસીઓને
પાણી આપવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. પણ જ્યારે પાણીની ગંભીર સમસ્યા હાલમાં ઉભી
થઈ છે ત્યારે
ડાઉનસ્ટ્રીમના ગામોનો પહેલાં વિચાર કરવો જોઈએ. તેથી જ તાત્કાલિક
રાજકોટને નર્મદાનું પાણી આપી ભાદર ડેમમાંથી પાણી આપવાનું બંધ કરી જેતપુર
માટે પાણી અનામત રાખવા જેતપુરવાસીઓની દર્દભરી અપીલ હોવાનું જાણવા મળે છે.
જેતપુર રાજકોટ જિલ્લાનું જ ગામ છે. રાજકોટ સાથે દરેક રીતે જોડાયેલુ છે
ત્યારે જેતપુરની સવા લાખની જનતાનાં હિતમાં પાણીનો અન્ય કોઈ વિકલ્પ ન
હોવાથી તાત્કાલિક
ભાદરડેમમાંથી પાણી અનામત રાખવું જોઈએ. અન્યથા દિવાળી પછી જેતપુરવાસીઓને
હિજરત કરવી પડે તેવી સ્થિતી પેદા થશે અને તેને માટે જેતપુરની નબળી
નેતાગીરી જ જવાબદાર રહેશે. જેને જેતપુરની પ્રજા કોઈ દિવસ માફ નહીં કરે
તેવી લાગણી જોવા મળે છે.

કળીયુગના પુરાવા રૂપી કિસ્સા સામે આવી રહ્યા છે જેતપુરના આરબટીંબડી ગામે
એક બે વર્ષની વાછડી એ એકા એક સવાર સાંજ એક એક લિટર દૂધ આપવા લાગતાં નાના
એવા ગામમાં કૂતુહલ સર્જાયું છે. આરબટીંબડી ગામે રહેતા પ્રભાબેન અને
વિઠ્ઠલભાઇ ડાયાભાઇ મોવળિયા
નામના પટેલ દંપતીએ જેતપુરના એક વેપારી પાસેથી પાંચેક માસ પૂર્વે એક
દોઢેક વર્ષની વાછડી લાલન પાલન કરવા માટે લઇ આવ્યા હતા. આ વાછડી ને
પ્રભાબેન ભારે વહાલથી ઉછેરતા હતા. નિયમિત તેની સાફ -સફાઇ અને
તંદુરસ્તીનું ધ્યાન રાખતા હતા. આ બાદ પંદરેક દિવસ પૂર્વે નાની એવી વાછરડી
આંચળમાં સોજા જેવું લાગતા પ્રભાબેન દ્વારા આ તેમના પતિ વિઠ્ઠલભાઇને પશુ
ડોકટરને બોલાવવા માટે જણાવ્યું હતું. આ
ગુંમડા જેવા લાગતા સોજા પર વાછડી વારંવાર જીભ ફેરવતી હોવાથી પ્રભાબેન
વાછડીને આંચળમાં ભારે દુ:ખાવા થતું હોવાનું તુરત જ પશુ ડોકટરને બોલાવ્યા
હતા. પશુ ડોકટર મુકેશભાઇ ભુવાએ આવીને વાછડીને તપાસતા વાછડી સંપૂર્ણ
સ્વસ્થ જણાઇ અને તેમને એક પણ પ્રકારની બીમારી ન હોવાનું જણાવ્યું હતું.
પશુ ડોકટરે વાછડી સંપૂર્ણ સ્વસ્થ હોવાનું સર્ટિફિકેટ આપ્યા બાદ પણ
વાછડીના આંચળ હજુ સોજેલા
જેવા અને વાછડી વારંવાર તેની જીભ ત્યાં ફેરવતી હોવાથી પ્રભાબેનને ભારે
અજુગતું લાગ્યું હતું. આથી તેણીને વાછડીના આંચળમાં હળવેકથી હાથ ફેરવતા
દુધની શેળ ફુટતા પ્રભાબેન તો પ્રથમ ડરી ગયા હતા અને બાદ તેમના પતિ
વિઠ્ઠલભાઇને આ વાત કહેતા તેઓ આ વાત માનવા તૈયાર જ ન હતા પરંતુ તેઓ પણ
વાછડીના આચળને હાથ ફેરવતા આંચળમાંથી દૂધ આવતા તેઓ પણ આશ્ચર્યમાં ગરકાવ થઇ
ગયા હતા. આ બે વર્ષની વાછડી
યુવાનીમાં આવ્યા વગરની કે કોઇ પણ પ્રકારના ગર્ભધારણ કર્યા વગર દૂધ આપતી
હોવાના સામાચાર વાયુવેગે ગામમા ફેલાતા ગામમાં પણ ભારે કુતૂહુલ સર્જાયું
હતું.

રાખવાનું ફરજિયાત હતું. હવે અમે સ્લીપર ક્લાસના પ્રવાસીઓ માટે પણ ઓળખપત્ર સાથે રાખવાનું ફરજિયાત બનાવ્યું છે. યોગ્ય પ્રવાસીઓ જ કન્ફર્મ ટિકિટનો ઉપયોગ કરી શકે તે માટે આ નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો હોવાનું વરિષ્ઠ રેલવે અધિકારીએ કહ્યું હતું. ફેબ્રુઆરી મહિનામાં રેલવેએ એસી ક્લાસના પ્રવાસીઓ માટે ઓળખપત્ર સાથે રાખવાનું ફરજિયાત બનાવ્યું હતું. તત્કાલ કે ઇ-ટિકિટ મારફતે પ્રવાસ કરતા

Flower Paradise At Hitachi Seaside Park.
Hitachi Seaside Park, located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki prefecture, Japan,

ડેંગૂ કારણ, લક્ષણ અને આયુર્વેદિક ઈલાજ
ડેંગૂએ
સૌ પહેલા મહામારીના રૂપમાં ઈ.સ. 1780માં હુમલો કર્યો ત્યારે એશિયા,
આફ્રિકા તથા ઉત્તરી અમેરિકામાં એક સાથે આ રોગ ફેલાયો. આ રોગને 1779માં ઓળખી
લેવામાં આવ્યો અને નામ પણ આપી દેવામાં આવ્યું હતું. 1950ના દશકામાં એ
દક્ષિણ પૂર્વ એશિયામાં સતત મહામારીના રૂપમાં
ફેલાવાનું શરૂ થયું તથા 1975 સુધી ડેંગૂ હેમરેજતાવ, જે ઘણા બાળકોના
મૃત્યુનું કારણ બન્યો હતો. 1990ના દશક સુધી ડેંગૂ, મલેરીયા પછી મચ્છરો
દ્વારા ફેલાતો બીજો સૌથી મોટો રોગ બની ગયો, જેનાથી વર્ષમાં 4 કરોડ લોકોને
અસર થાય છે, તો ડેંગૂ હેમરેજતાવના પણ હજારો કેસ સામે આવે છે. વિષાણું
મચ્છરો દ્વારા માનવ શરીરમાં પહોંચે છે. ડેંગૂ એક બીમારી છે, જે એડીઝ
એઝિપ્ટી મચ્છરોના ડંખથી થાય છે. આ રોગમાં
ખૂબ તાવની સાથે શરીરમાં લોહીના ધાબા થવા લાગે છે.
લક્ષણ –
અચાનક ખૂબ તાવ, શરીર કળવું, માથાનો દુખાવો, માંસપેશીઓ અને સાંધાનો દુખાવો
થવો, આ બધાં પ્રાંરંભિક લક્ષણો છે. એક બજા પ્રકારનો ડેંગૂ, જેને
હેમરેજિકડેંગૂ કહેવાય છે, તેમાં રક્તસ્ત્રાવના લક્ષણ તથા બેહોશીના લક્ષણ
પ્રતીત થાય છે. શ્વાસ લેવામાં મુશ્કેલી સર્જાય.
ડેંગૂથી બચવા માટે – ડેગૂથી બચવા માટે
મચ્છરોથી બચવું વધારે જરૂરી છે, જેનાથી ડેંગૂના વાયરસ ફેલાય છે.

પાણી જમા થવા ન દેવું જોઈએ, જેમ કે પ્લાસ્ટિક બેગ, કેન, પાણી ભરેલા વાસણો
કે કૂલરમાં જમા થયેલું પાણી તેનું કારણ બને છે. આવી જગ્યાએ પાણી ન ભરાય
તેનું ખાસ ધ્યાન રાખો.
- મચછરોથી બચવાના દરેક પ્રયત્ન કરવા જોઈએ,
જેમ કે મચ્છરદાની લગાવવી, પૂરાં કપડાં પહેચરવાં વગેરે. ઋતુપરિવર્તનના
સમયમાં તમે ક્યાંય બહાર જઈ રહ્યાં છો
તો મચ્છરથી બચવા માટેના સાધનો સાથે રાખો.
તમારા ઘરની આસપાસ જો ક્યાંય પાણી ભરાયેલું રહી જાય છે, તો ત્યાં સ્વચ્છતાનો ખાસ ખ્યાલ રાખવો.
- મચ્છર પૈદા થવાથી રોકાયેલા દરેક પ્રયત્ન કરો.
5 દિવસથી વધારે સમય સુધી તાવ હોય તો લોહીની તપાસ જરૂર કરાવો. ડેંગૂ જીવલેણ બીમારી છે.

ડેંગૂ કારણ, લક્ષણ અને આયુર્વેદિક ઈલાજ
ડેંગૂએ
સૌ પહેલા મહામારીના રૂપમાં ઈ.સ. 1780માં હુમલો કર્યો ત્યારે એશિયા,
આફ્રિકા તથા ઉત્તરી અમેરિકામાં એક સાથે આ રોગ ફેલાયો. આ રોગને 1779માં ઓળખી
લેવામાં આવ્યો અને નામ પણ આપી દેવામાં આવ્યું હતું. 1950ના દશકામાં એ
દક્ષિણ પૂર્વ એશિયામાં સતત મહામારીના રૂપમાં
ફેલાવાનું શરૂ થયું તથા 1975 સુધી ડેંગૂ હેમરેજતાવ, જે ઘણા બાળકોના
મૃત્યુનું કારણ બન્યો હતો. 1990ના દશક સુધી ડેંગૂ, મલેરીયા પછી મચ્છરો
દ્વારા ફેલાતો બીજો સૌથી મોટો રોગ બની ગયો, જેનાથી વર્ષમાં 4 કરોડ લોકોને
અસર થાય છે, તો ડેંગૂ હેમરેજતાવના પણ હજારો કેસ સામે આવે છે. વિષાણું
મચ્છરો દ્વારા માનવ શરીરમાં પહોંચે છે. ડેંગૂ એક બીમારી છે, જે એડીઝ
એઝિપ્ટી મચ્છરોના ડંખથી થાય છે. આ રોગમાં
ખૂબ તાવની સાથે શરીરમાં લોહીના ધાબા થવા લાગે છે.
લક્ષણ –
અચાનક ખૂબ તાવ, શરીર કળવું, માથાનો દુખાવો, માંસપેશીઓ અને સાંધાનો દુખાવો
થવો, આ બધાં પ્રાંરંભિક લક્ષણો છે. એક બજા પ્રકારનો ડેંગૂ, જેને
હેમરેજિકડેંગૂ કહેવાય છે, તેમાં રક્તસ્ત્રાવના લક્ષણ તથા બેહોશીના લક્ષણ
પ્રતીત થાય છે. શ્વાસ લેવામાં મુશ્કેલી સર્જાય.
ડેંગૂથી બચવા માટે – ડેગૂથી બચવા માટે
મચ્છરોથી બચવું વધારે જરૂરી છે, જેનાથી ડેંગૂના વાયરસ ફેલાય છે.

પાણી જમા થવા ન દેવું જોઈએ, જેમ કે પ્લાસ્ટિક બેગ, કેન, પાણી ભરેલા વાસણો
કે કૂલરમાં જમા થયેલું પાણી તેનું કારણ બને છે. આવી જગ્યાએ પાણી ન ભરાય
તેનું ખાસ ધ્યાન રાખો.
- મચછરોથી બચવાના દરેક પ્રયત્ન કરવા જોઈએ,
જેમ કે મચ્છરદાની લગાવવી, પૂરાં કપડાં પહેચરવાં વગેરે. ઋતુપરિવર્તનના
સમયમાં તમે ક્યાંય બહાર જઈ રહ્યાં છો
તો મચ્છરથી બચવા માટેના સાધનો સાથે રાખો.
તમારા ઘરની આસપાસ જો ક્યાંય પાણી ભરાયેલું રહી જાય છે, તો ત્યાં સ્વચ્છતાનો ખાસ ખ્યાલ રાખવો.
- મચ્છર પૈદા થવાથી રોકાયેલા દરેક પ્રયત્ન કરો.
5 દિવસથી વધારે સમય સુધી તાવ હોય તો લોહીની તપાસ જરૂર કરાવો. ડેંગૂ જીવલેણ બીમારી છે.

લેવી જ હિતાવહ છે, પણ આધૂનિક મેડિકલ રોગ થયા પછીના ઉપાય કરે છે જ્યારે
આયુર્વેદ એવું શાસ્ત્ર છે જેમણે વિશેષ રીતે રોગ ન આવે તેના ઉપાયો જણાવ્યા

કોઇ પ્રોપર્ટી પેટેના દસ્તાવેજમાં ખરીદદાર અને વેચાણકાર વચ્ચે થયેલા કરારમાં અર્નેસ્ટ મની ડિપોઝિટ જપ્ત કરવાની શરત હોય તો વેચાણકાર તેમ કરી શકે છે અને ચૂકવેલી રકમ પાછી માગવાનો ખરીદદારને હક્ક નથી હોતો, પછી અર્નેસ્ટ મની ડિપોઝિટની રકમ ભલે ગમે તેટલી હોય. આ મુદ્દે દિલ્હી હાઇ કોર્ટે કરેલા નિરીક્ષણને સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે અમાન્ય રાખ્યા હતા અને વેચાણકાર દ્વારા અર્નેસ્ટ મની
ડિપોઝિટની રકમ પરત નહીં કરવાના નિર્ણયને યથાર્થ ઠેરવ્યો હતો. નવી દિલ્હી ખાતે રહેતા સુધીર રાવલે (પ્રતિવાદી) પંજાબી બાગમાં એક ફ્લેટ ખરીદવા માટે સતીશ બત્રા (અરજદાર) સાથે કરાર કર્યા હતા. ફ્લેટની કિંમત રૂ. ૭૦ લાખ મૂકી હતી. આ માટે રાવલે ફ્લેટની કિંમતના ૧૦ ટકા એટલે રૂ. ૭ લાખ અર્નેસ્ટ મની ડિપોઝિટ તરીકે ચૂકવ્યા હતા. જો કોઇ કિસ્સામાં ખરીદનાર બાકીની રકમ ચૂકવવામાં નિષ્ફળ જાય તો
ડિપોઝિટની રકમ સેલર તેને પરત નહીં કરે અને જો સેલર ફ્લેટનો કબજો આપવામાં નિષ્ફળ જાય તો ડિપોઝિટની બમણી રકમ ચૂકવવાની કરારમાં શરત નક્કી કરાઇ હતી. પ્રસ્તુત કેસમાં ફ્લેટ ખરીદનાર બાકીની રકમ ચૂકવી ન શકતા વેચનારે ડિપોઝિટની રકમ જપ્ત કરી હતી. આની સામે ફ્લેટ ખરીદનારે સ્થાનિક કોર્ટમાં ફરિયાદ કરી હતી. નીચલી અદાલતે અર્નેસ્ટ મની ડિપોઝિટ નહીં ચૂકવવાના વેચાણકારના નિર્ણયને માન્ય
કર્યો હતો. આ નિર્ણય સામે ખરીદનારે દિલ્હી હાઇ કોર્ટમાં અપીલ કરી હતી. હાઇ કોર્ટે વેચાણકારને માત્ર રૂપિયા પ૦,૦૦૦ જ જપ્ત કરવા અને બાકીના રૂપિયા ૬.૫૦ લાખ અર્નેસ્ટ મની ફ્લેટ ખરીદનારને પરત કરવા આદેશ આપ્યો હતો. સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે અગાઉ ફતેહચંદ વિરુદ્ધ બાલકિશન દાસના એક કિસ્સામાં આપેલા ચુકાદાને આધાર બનાવી હાઇ કોર્ટે નીચલી અદાલતનો ચુકાદો ફગાવી દઇ ખરીદનારની તરફેણમાં ચુકાદો આપ્યો
હતો. હાઇ કોર્ટના ચુકાદા સામે ફ્લેટ વેચનાર સતીશ બત્રાએ સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટમાં અપીલ કરી હતી. બંને પક્ષને સાંભળ્યા બાદ સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે જે ચુકાદાને આધાર બનાવ્યો હતો તે પ્રસ્તુત કેસમાં બંધબેસતો નહીં હોવાનો મત આપ્યો હતો. અને આવા જ પ્રકારના કિસ્સાના પોતાની સમક્ષ આવેલા વિવિધ પ્રકારના કેસ તથા તેના આવેલા ચુકાદાને સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે ધ્યાનમાં લીધા હતા. જે કેસને સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે
ધ્યાનમાં લીધા હતા તેમાં દિલ્હી ડેવલપમેન્ટ ઓથોરિટી વિરુદ્ધ ગૃહસ્થાપના કોઓપરેટિવ ગ્રુપ હાઉસિંગ સોસાયટી લિ. વી. લક્ષ્મણ વિરુદ્ધ બી. આર. મંગલગીરી તથા અન્યોના કેસનો સમાવેશ થતો હતો.
એજન્ટને પ્રીમિયમ એકત્ર કરવાનો સત્તાવાર અધિકાર છે..?
આજે વ્યાપાર-ઉદ્યોગમાં કમિશન એજન્ટનું ઘણું મહત્ત્વ છે. એજન્ટના આ કાર્યના બદલામાં એને નિશ્ચિત કમિશન મળે પણ ગ્રાહક પૈસા ન આપે કે કંપની ફડચામાં જાય તો આ એજન્ટની કશી જવાબદારી નથી. એજન્ટ ગ્રાહક અને કંપની બંનેનું 'હિત' જાળવવા સઘન પ્રયત્ન કરે પણ એની ફરજ નથી અને કાયદેસર જવાબદારી નથી. આજે ગ્રાહક-સુરક્ષા કાયદા હેઠળ એવા અનેક કેસ નોંધાયા છે, જેમાં ક્લેમની જવાબદારી અન્ય પર લાદે
છે. ગ્રાહકોને દલાલ અને એજન્ટ વચ્ચેના તફાવતની જાણ હોતી નથી. કોન્ટ્રેક્ટ એક્ટની ૧૮૨ની કલમ પ્રમાણે એજન્ટ એ છે કે જે માલિક/ પ્રિન્સિપાલના દર્શાવ્યા પ્રમાણે અન્ય કે ત્રીજી વ્યક્તિઓ સાથે એના વતી વ્યવહાર કરે છે. એજન્ટની સર્વપ્રથમ એ ફરજ બની રહે છે કે જે એણે પોતાના માલિક/ પ્રિન્સિપાલે જે સત્તા સોંપી હોય તે મર્યાદાની અંદર જ કાર્ય કરવાનું રહે છે. હવે આપણે ત્યાં એવું બને છે કે
ગ્રાહક વીમા એજન્ટને પ્રીમિયમનો ચેક આપી દે છે. એને એમ કે ચાલો એક કામ તો પત્યું સમયસર. પ્રીમિયમ તો ભરાઈ ગયું. પછી પ્રીમિયમની રસીદ આવી કે નહીં એજન્ટને એ બાબતમાં પૂછવું જોઈએ એવી વિગતો જ નજીવી ગણાય છે. અનેક પોલિસી-હૉલ્ડર પોતાનાં પ્રીમિયમના ચેકો એજન્ટને આપે છે, પણ એજન્ટ વીમાનો પ્રીમિયમનો ચેક પોતાની પાસે રાખે, સમયસર 'ડ્યૂ-ડેટ' પર ન ભરે, એ દરમિયાન પોલિસી-હોલ્ડરનું મૃત્યુ થાય
તો શી પરિસ્થિતિ થઈ શકે છે એનો આપણે ભાગ્યે જ વિચાર કરીએ છીએ. વીમાની રકમ પર જ જેનો આધાર હોય તેવા વારસદારોને રાતા પાણીએ રોવાનો વખત આવે. ઉપરોક્ત બાબત જેવી પરિસ્થિતિ અંગે ૧૯૯૭માં સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે હર્ષદ જે. શાહ વિ. જીવનવીમા નિગમના કેસમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે એજન્ટને જીવનવીમા નિગમ વતી પ્રીમિયમ એકત્ર કરવાનો અધિકાર નથી, જેથી પોલિસી હોલ્ડરના મૃત્યુ પછી પ્રીમિયમ ભરાયેલું હોવાથી
પોલિસી હેઠળ વીમાની રકમ લેવાને પાત્ર નથી. એનો દાવો રદ થાય છે. એજન્ટ વીમાની પોલિસીના ફાયદાઓ અને શરતોની જાણ ગ્રાહકને કરે છે. મેડિક્લેમ પોલિસીમાં ગ્રાહકે પોતાના સ્વાસ્થ્ય અંગે પૂરી માહિતી આપવી આવશ્યક છે. નહીં તો કોઈ રોગ વિશે માહિતી ન આપી હોય તો દાવો રદ થઈ શકે છે. પ્રપોઝલ ફોર્મ ગ્રાહક સહી કરી આપે એટલે પોલિસી મળી જતી નથી પણ કંપનીએ સ્વીકારવી જોઈએ. સવાલ એ છે કે વીમા એજન્ટ
પોલિસી-હોલ્ડર પાસેથી પ્રીમિયમ એકત્ર કરવાની સત્તા ધરાવે છે? આજે ભારતમાં અનેક નાનાંમોટાં ગામડાઓ અને શહેરોમાં જીવનવીમા નિગમના કાર્યાલયો નથી. વળી સગવડતા માટે ઘણીવાર એજન્ટને જ પ્રીમિયમ આપવામાં આવે છે. પોલિસી હોલ્ડરોએ લક્ષમાં રાખવાનું કે તેઓ અંધારામાં ન રહે. એજન્ટને પ્રીમિયમ આપી દીધું છે માટે વીમા કંપનીમાં જમા થઈ ગયું છે એવો વિશ્વાસ ન રાખતાં તેઓએ રસીદ માટે આગ્રહ

ગ્રાહક વીમા એજન્ટને પ્રીમિયમનો ચેક આપી દે છે. એને એમ કે ચાલો એક કામ તો પત્યું સમયસર. પ્રીમિયમ તો ભરાઈ ગયું. પછી પ્રીમિયમની રસીદ આવી કે નહીં એજન્ટને એ બાબતમાં પૂછવું જોઈએ એવી વિગતો જ નજીવી ગણાય છે. અનેક પોલિસી-હૉલ્ડર પોતાનાં પ્રીમિયમના ચેકો એજન્ટને આપે છે, પણ એજન્ટ વીમાનો પ્રીમિયમનો ચેક પોતાની પાસે રાખે, સમયસર 'ડ્યૂ-ડેટ' પર ન ભરે, એ દરમિયાન પોલિસી-હોલ્ડરનું મૃત્યુ થાય
તો શી પરિસ્થિતિ થઈ શકે છે એનો આપણે ભાગ્યે જ વિચાર કરીએ છીએ. વીમાની રકમ પર જ જેનો આધાર હોય તેવા વારસદારોને રાતા પાણીએ રોવાનો વખત આવે. ઉપરોક્ત બાબત જેવી પરિસ્થિતિ અંગે ૧૯૯૭માં સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે હર્ષદ જે. શાહ વિ. જીવનવીમા નિગમના કેસમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે એજન્ટને જીવનવીમા નિગમ વતી પ્રીમિયમ એકત્ર કરવાનો અધિકાર નથી, જેથી પોલિસી હોલ્ડરના મૃત્યુ પછી પ્રીમિયમ ભરાયેલું હોવાથી
પોલિસી હેઠળ વીમાની રકમ લેવાને પાત્ર નથી. એનો દાવો રદ થાય છે. એજન્ટ વીમાની પોલિસીના ફાયદાઓ અને શરતોની જાણ ગ્રાહકને કરે છે. મેડિક્લેમ પોલિસીમાં ગ્રાહકે પોતાના સ્વાસ્થ્ય અંગે પૂરી માહિતી આપવી આવશ્યક છે. નહીં તો કોઈ રોગ વિશે માહિતી ન આપી હોય તો દાવો રદ થઈ શકે છે. પ્રપોઝલ ફોર્મ ગ્રાહક સહી કરી આપે એટલે પોલિસી મળી જતી નથી પણ કંપનીએ સ્વીકારવી જોઈએ. સવાલ એ છે કે વીમા એજન્ટ
પોલિસી-હોલ્ડર પાસેથી પ્રીમિયમ એકત્ર કરવાની સત્તા ધરાવે છે? આજે ભારતમાં અનેક નાનાંમોટાં ગામડાઓ અને શહેરોમાં જીવનવીમા નિગમના કાર્યાલયો નથી. વળી સગવડતા માટે ઘણીવાર એજન્ટને જ પ્રીમિયમ આપવામાં આવે છે. પોલિસી હોલ્ડરોએ લક્ષમાં રાખવાનું કે તેઓ અંધારામાં ન રહે. એજન્ટને પ્રીમિયમ આપી દીધું છે માટે વીમા કંપનીમાં જમા થઈ ગયું છે એવો વિશ્વાસ ન રાખતાં તેઓએ રસીદ માટે આગ્રહ
રાખવાનો જ.

આરોગ્યવર્ધક કહેવતો

લોકસાહિત્ય કલ્પવૃક્ષ જેવું છે.
કહેવાય છે કે કલ્પવૃક્ષ નીચે ઊભા રહીને જે માગીએ એ મળે,
એમ લોકસાહિત્ય પાસે જે માગો એ મળે.
એમાંથી અર્થસભર દુહા મળે.
હૈયામાં સ્પંદનો પ્રગટાવતાં ગીતો મળે.
બુદ્ધિચાતુર્ય વધારતાં ઊખાણાં મળે.
કવિત્વ શક્તિ ખીલવતાં
જોડકણાં મળે, માનવીની કોઠાસૂઝમાંથી પ્રગટેલી મોતીના દાણા જેવી કહેવતો અને કથાઓ મળે.
જૂનાકાળે આજના જેવી શાળા, કૉલેજો અને યુનિવર્સિટીઓ નહોતી ત્યારે કંઠસ્થ લોકસાહિત્ય દ્વારા લોકજીવનમાં શિક્ષણનું કામ સુપેરે થતું.
આરોગ્ય જાળવવા અંગેની વાત હોય તો કહેવતો દ્વારા આ રીતે લોકજીભે રજૂ થતી :
ધાતુ વધારણ બળકરણ, જો પિયા પૂછો મોય,
દૂધ સમાન
ત્રિલોકને અવર ન ઔષધ કોય. ****
શ્રાવણની તો કાકડી, ભાદરવાની છાશ,
તાવ સંદેશો મોકલે, આજ આવું કે કાલ ****
દાંતે લૂણ જે વાપરે, કવળે ઊનું ખાય,
ડાબું પડખું દાબી સૂએ, તે ઘેર વૈદ્ય ન જાય. ****
ઓકી દાતણ જે કરે, નરણા હરડે ખાય,
દૂધે વાળું જે કરે, તે ઘેર વૈદ્ય ન
જાય. ****
દૂધ, અનાજ અને કઠોળ
માણસમાત્રનો રોજિંદો આહાર છે. આ આહાર કેમ લેવો, કેટલો લેવો, ક્યારે લેવો
એનું જ્ઞાન જૂનાકાળે આરોગ્ય સાથે જોડાયેલી કહેવતો આપતી. કોઠાસૂઝવાળા
લોકકવિઓના અનુભવ આરોગ્યરક્ષક અનાજ કઠોળની કહેવતોની આજે મારે વાત કરવી છે.
અહીં લોકકવિઓએ અનુભવ જે તે અનાજને મોઢે બોલાવ્યો છે, છે તો નાનકડી જ વાત પણ
અહીં લોકકવિની જે તે વિષયની સૂક્ષ્મ સૂઝ તરી આવે છે
:
ઘઉં કહે હું લાંબો દાણો,
વચમાં પડી લી,
મારી મજા લેવી હોય
તો લાવો ગોળ ને ઘી. ****
ઘઉંની પોળી નીપજે,
ઘઉંના ઘેબર થાય,
જેવા ઘઉં કેળવે,
તેવાં ભોજન થાય. ****
ઘઉં
એ અનાજનો રાજા છે. ઘઉંમાંથી થુલી, ઘઉંના લોટમાંથી રાબ, સુખડી, શીરો,
લાડવા, રોટલી,
ભાખરી, પૂરી, થેપલાં, પરોઠા, સેવ, હલવો, બરફી, ચુરમુ, ઘઉંના મેંદામાંથી
સુવાળી, ઘારી, ઘઉંના પોંકનું જાદરિયું, ઠોર, જલેબી, માલપુવા, ઘેબર, ઘેંસ,
લાપસી વગેરે બને છે. ઘઉંની પણ કેટકેટલી જાતો. ભાલિયા, બંસી, કાઠા, પુનમિયા,
પંજાબી, દાઉદખાની, વાજિયા, અમેરિકન, રાતાઘઉં વગેરે. ઘઉં સ્નિગ્ધ, મધુર,
બળકર, ધાતુવર્ધક, સારક, વાયુકરનાર અને કફનાશક મનાય છે. લોકસમાજે ભાવતાં
ભોજન સાથે ભગવાનનેય કેવા જોડી
દીધા છે !
રામનામ લાડવા,
ગોપાળ નામ ઘી,
કૃષ્ણનામ ખીર ખાંડ,
ઘોળી ઘોળી પી.
અર્થાત : દૂધ, ઘી, ખાંડ, દૂધની ખીર અને લાડવા રામ અને કૃષ્ણનું નામ લેતાં લેતાં ખાતાં રહો. ઘઉં પછી બાજરી આવીને બોલે છે :
કાળી છું પણ કામણગારી,
લેશો ના મુજ વાદ,
વાદ કર્યામાં વળશે શું,
પણ જોઈ લ્યો મુજ સ્વાદ.
બાજરો
એક એવું અનાજ છે જેને માણસો ને ઘોડા બેય ખાય છે. બેયનો આહાર છે. કહેવાય છે
કે કચ્છનો રાજવી લાખો ફુલાણી જંગલમાં શિકાર કરવા નીકળ્યો. એનો રસાલો દૂર
દૂર અંધારિયા આફ્રિકા ખંડમાં નીકળી ગયો. બધા ભૂલા પડ્યા. ખાવાનું કંઈ ન
મળે. એવામાં ખેતરમાં અનાજના ડૂંડા જોયાં. ભૂખ્યા રાજવી, સાથીદારો અને ઘોડાએ
એ ડૂંડા ખાવા માંડ્યા. થોડા દીમાં તો ઘોડામાં
તાકાત આવી અને ઉંમરલાયક બુઢ્ઢાઓને નવી જુવાની ફૂટી :
બલિહારી તુજ બાજરા,
જેનાં લાંબા પાન,
ઘોડાને પાંખું આવિયું,
બુઢ્ઢા થયા જુવાન
કિંવદિંત
કહે છે કે, લાખો ફુલાણી અંધારિયા ખંડમાંથી કચ્છમાં બાજરો પહેલવહેલો લાવ્યો
હતો. બાજરો શક્તિપ્રદ આહાર હોવાથી રાજારજવાડામાં ને ગામધણી દરબારો ને
ઘરધણી માણસ ઉત્તમ
ઓલાદના અશ્વો રાખતા અને ચાંદીમાં ભરડેલો બાજરો ખવરાવતા. મોટી ઉંમરે માણસને
માથે વૃદ્ધાવસ્થા આવીને બેસી જતી ને પાચનતંત્ર નબળું પડતું ત્યારે બાજરાનો
રોટલો એના બળ ને શક્તિને ટકાવી રાખતો. એને નવી શક્તિ બક્ષતો એટલે કહ્યું
છે કે, 'બુઢ્ઢા થયા જુવાન.'
બાજરીની બીજી પણ કહેવતો છે
(1) રોટલો બાજરીનો ને કજિયો વાઘરીનો (દેવીપૂજકનો).
(2) બાજરી કહે
હું બળ વધારું, ઘઉં કહે હું ચોપડ માગું.
હવે લીલુડા મગની કેફિયત આવે છે, મગ શું કહે છે ?
મગ કહે હું લીલો દાણો,
મારા માથે ચાંદુ,
મારો ખપ ત્યારે પડે,
માણસ હોય માંદું.
બધા
પ્રકારના કઠોળમાં મગ ઔષધ જેવું કઠોળ છે. મગનો દાણો લીલછોયો હોય છે અને
દાણા ઉપર એને કાંટો ફૂટે ઈ જગ્યાએ ટપકું, ચાંદુ હોય છે. આવા મગની
જરૂર બે પ્રસંગે પડે. એક તો આપણે ત્યાં કંઈક મંગલ પ્રસંગ હોય ત્યારે લાપસી
સાથે મગનું શાક શુકન ગણાય છે. એથીય આગળચાલીએ તો માણસને મોટા મંદવાડે ઘેરી
લીધો હોય ને આઠ-દસ માતરાયું (લાંઘણ ઉપવાસ) થઈ હોય ત્યારે મગના પાણીથી એના
ખોરાકની શરૂઆત વૈદ્યોને ડૉક્ટરો કરાવતા હોય છે. આમ મગ પચવામાં હલકા,
નિર્દોષ અને બળવર્ધક છે. આથી ગૃહસ્થોથી માંડીને જૈન મુનિઓમાં તેમજ અઠ્ઠાઈ
ઉપવાસ કરતાં જૈનોમાં
મગનો ઉપયોગ મોટા પ્રમાણમાં થાય છે. મગની પણ બે જાત. એક લીલા મગ ને બીજા
કાળા મગ. મગ પચવામાં હલકા, શીતલ, સ્વાદુ સહેજ વાતકારક અને નેત્રો માટે
હિતકારક છે એમ આયુર્વેદ કહે છે.
મગ સાથે કેટકેટલી કહેવતો જોડાયેલી છે.
(1) મગના ભાવે મરી વેચાય.
(2) મોંમાં કંઈ મગ ઓર્યા છે ?
(3) મગમાંથી પગ ફૂટ્યા.
(4) દેરાણી જેઠાણીના મગ ભેગા ચડે પણ
શોક્યોના મગ ભેગા ન ચડે.
(5) હજુ ક્યાં ચોખા-મગ ભેગા મળી ગયા છે ?
(6) વાણિયાભૈ મગનું નામ મરી નો પાડે.
(7) એક મગની બે ફાડ્ય.
(8) જે પાણીએ મગ ચડે તે પાણીએ ચડાવવા.
ગરીબડી ગણાતી જુવાર આવીને કહે છે :
જુવાર કહે હું રાતીધોળી,
કોઠીની છું રાણી,
ગરીબોનું હું ખાણું છું
ને મારી
થાયે ધાણી.
જુવાર કહે હું ગોળ દાણો,
ને મારા માથે ટોપી,
મારો ફાલ ખરો લેવાને,
કાળી ભોંયમાં રોપી.
જુવાર
કહે છે કે હું સુખિયા નહીં, પણ દુઃખિયા, ગરીબ લોકોનું ખાણું ગણાઉં છું.
જુવાર પૌષ્ટિક ગણાય છે. સુરતી જુવારનો પોંક છેક મુંબઈ સુધી જાયે છે. જુવાર
ખાવામાં મીઠી, પચવામાં હલકી છે. જુવારના રોટલા,
ઢોકળાં બને છે. ગામડામાં ગરીબગુરબા જુવાનો બોળો કે ઘેંસ બનાવીને પેટ ભરી
લ્યે છે. હુતાસણીના પર્વ પ્રસંગે જુવારની ધાણી ખાવાનો રિવાજ છે. બદલાતી
ઋતુમાં આ જ ધાણી કફ દૂર કરનારી છે એમ વૈદ્યો કહે છે. આજે કબૂતરોને નાખવામાં
આવતી જુવાર તો બાપા જગનું ઢાંકણ છે. માનવી પ્રભુને પ્રાર્થના કરતો કહે છે
કે, 'હે પ્રભુ, આછુંપાતળું જુવાર બાજરાનું ઢેબરું મળે તોય ઘણું.'
લોકકવિ ચોખાની ઓળખ આ
રીતે આપે છે :
ચોખો કહે કે હું ધોળોદાણો,
મારા માથે અણી,
મારી મજા લેવી હોય
તો દાળ નાખજો ઘણી.
ભારતમાં
ચોખાની પ્રાંતવાર જુદી જુદી જાતો જોવા મળે છે. સંસ્કૃતમાં ચોખાને 'શાલિ'
કહે છે. કાળા ચોખાને કૃષ્ણવીહી, ગુજરાતીમાં એને કાળી કમોદ કહે છે. ચોખાની
બારમાસી, સુરતી, કોલમ, લાલ ચોખા અને સાઠી ચાવલ જેવી અનેક જાતો છે.
સાઠી અર્થાત સાઈઠ દિવસે પાકતી કમોદ.
ચોખા ખાવા મળે એ ચારમાંનું એક સુખ ગણાતું :
સાઠી ચાવલ ભેંસ દૂધ,
ઘેર શીલવતી નાર,
ચોથો ચડવા રેવતો (અશ્વ)
ઈ સરગ નીસરણી ચાર.
આયુર્વેદની
દષ્ટિએ ચોખા ઠંડા છે, તે ગરમીને મટાડનાર, વીર્ય વધારનાર, પૌષ્ટિક, મીઠા,
બળ આપનાર, હલકા, રુચિકર, સ્વર સુધારનાર, મુત્ર અને મળને કાઢનાર, કફ
ઓછો કરી બુદ્ધિ વધારનાર ગણાય છે.
ચોખાની પણ કહેવતો જુઓ.
(1) ચોખો ચંપાય ને દાળ દબાય.
(2) ચોખા ભેગી ઈયળ બફાઈ જાય. (
3) દેરાણીજેઠાણીના ચોખા ભેગા ચડ્યાં સાંભળ્યાં નથી.
એ રીતે તુવેરરાણી ગુજરાતમાં ઘરોઘર માનીતાં છે. ગુજરાતણોની રસોઈમાં આ રાણી રોજ હાજર હોય છે, હવે એની વાત સાંભળો :
તુવેર કહે હું તાજો દાણો,
રસોઈની છું રાણી,
મારો સ્વાદ લેવો હોય તો,
પ્રમાણમાં નાખો પાણી. ****
તુવેર કહે હું દાળ બનાવું,
રસોઈનો રાખું રંગ,
જે ઘરમાં તુવેર ન હોય તે
ના જોઈ લ્યો ઢંગ.
તુવેરની
દાળ બને, દાળઢોકળી બને. પુરણપોળી બને. દરેક કઠોળના લોટના પાપડ બને, પણ
તુવેર એવું કઠોળ છે કે એનો
લોટ બનતો નથી. લીલી તુવેર બાફી મીઠું નાખીને ખવાય. તુવેરદાણા-લીલવાનું સરસ
શાક થાય. કચોરી બને. વૈદ્યો કહે છે કે તુવેરદાળ ભારે, લુખી અને ઠંડી છે.
શરીરની ક્રાંતિ વધારે છે. પિત્ત, વિષ, રક્તદોષ, વાયુ, પેટનો દુઃખાવો અને
હરસ મટાડે છે. ઘીમાં ખાવાથી ત્રિદોષનો નાશ કરે છે. પિત્ત, કફ, મેદ અને
કૃમિનો નાશ કરે છે. શિવરાતના કોઈ ભાંગ ચડી હોય તો એક ચમચો તુવેરની દાળ
વાટીને તેનું પાણી પાવામાં આવે
છે.
એ રીતે શક્તિવર્ધક ચણા સાથે કેવી મજાની કહેવતો જોડાઈ છે ?
ચણો કહે હું ખરબચડો,
ને પીળો રંગ જણાય,
રોજ પલાળી દાળ ખાય,
તે ઘોડા જેવો થાય. ****
ચણો કહે હું ખરબચડો
ને મારા માથે અણી,
ભીની દાળને ગોળ ખાય
તો બને મલ્લનો ધણી.
કઠોળમાં
સૌથી વધુ વપરાશ ચણાનો રહે છે. ચણાના લોટમાંથી સેવ, ગાંઠિયા, ભજિયાં,
પાતરા, બુંદી, લકડશી લાડુ, મગસ, મોહનથાળ, ખાંડવી વગેરે બને છે. ચણાના
લોટમાં દૂધ કે મલાઈ કે હળદ મેળવીને સ્નાન કરવાથી શરીરનો વાન ઊઘડે છે,
ક્રાંતિ વધે છે. ગામડામાં જૂના કાળે અમુક જ્ઞાતિમાં લગ્નપ્રસંગે જાનને
મરિયા-બાફીને વઘારેલા ચણાનું શાક ને સુખડી આપવામાં આવતા. આ ચણા શીતળ, વાયુ
કરનાર, પિત્તહર, રક્તદોષ હરનાર,
કફહર, હલકા ને દસ્ત રોકનાર ગણાય છે. તે જવરને પણ મટાડે છે.
ચણા સાથે જોડાયેલી અન્ય કહેવતો :
ચણાવાળાની દીકરી ને મમરાવાળાની વહુ,
લાડે લાડે ચાલે, તેને ટપલાં મારે સહુ.
અડદ કાળા કઠોળમાં આવે. એના માટે કહેવાય છે કે, જો ખાય અડદ તો થાય મરદ. એનીય કહેવતો લોકકંઠે રમતી જોવા મળે છે :
અડદ કહે હું કાળો દાણો,
પૌષ્ટિકતામાં પહેલો,
માણસને હું મરદ બનાવું,
જો મસાલો ભેળો. ****
અડદ કહે હું કાળો દાણો,
માથે ધોળો છાંટો,
શિયાળામાં સેવન કરો,
તો શરીરમાં આવે કાંટો. ****
અડદ કહે હું કઠોર દાણો,
ચીકાશ મુજબમાં ઝાઝો,
ખટ (છ) મહિના જો મુજને ખાઓ,
બળિયા સાથે બાઝો.
સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં
અડદની દાળ બાજરાના રોટલા સાથે ખવાય છે. પટેલો અને રાજપૂતો એનો ઉપયોગ
નિયમિત રીતે કરતાં જોવા મળ્યા છે. અડદમાં પ્રોટિન વધારે હોવાથી તે બળવર્ધક
બની રહે છે. અડદની દાળમાંથી બનતો અડદિયા પાક શિયાળામાં ખાવાથી બારમાસીની
શક્તિ મળે છે એમ કહેવાય છે. અડદની દાળમાંથી વડાં બને છે. લકવાના દર્દીને
અડદના વડાં ખવરાવવામાં આવે છે. અડદ વાતહર, બળ આપનાર, વીર્ય વધારનાર,
પૌષ્ટિક, ધાવણ વધારનાર, રુચિ ઉત્પન્ન કરનાર, મળમૂત્રનો ખુલાસો લાવનાર, મેદ
વધારનાર, પિત્ત અને કફ વધારનાર ગણાય છે.
દિવાળીનું પરબ આવે ત્યારે બાઈયુંને મઠિયા યાદ આવે. ચણા બાજરાની જેમ મઠ માણસોય ખાય ને ઘોડાય ખાય, એટલે કહેવાય છે :
મઠ કહે હું ઝીણો દાણો,
મારા માથે નાકું,
મારી પરખ ક્યારે પડે
કે ઘોડું આવે થાક્યું.
મઠ સાથે ઘણી કહેવતો જોડાઈ છે : ઉ…ત,
મઠને ખેતર માળો નંઈ,
ઉંદરને ઉચાળો નંઈ,
ઘેલીને ગવાળો નંઈ
ને કુંભારને સાળો નંઈ
મઠનું સંસ્કૃત નામ મુકુષ્ઠક છે. તે વાયુ કરનાર, જઠરાગ્નિને મંદ કરનાર, કૃમિ અને તાવ મટાડનાર મનાય છે.
ચોળા
એ વાયડું કઠોળ ગણાય છે. એને માટે કહેવાય છે :
મઠ કરે હઠ, ચોળો ચાંપ્યો ના રહે, વા કરે ઢગ, સહેજ ઢાંક્યો ના રહે.
મગની જેમ ચોળા શુકનવંતુ કઠોળ ગણાય છે. જૈનો દિવાળી અને બેસતા વર્ષે શુકનમાં ચોળા ખાય છે. એથી તો કહેવત પડી કે :
લોક કરે ઢોકળાં,
વૈદ્ય વઘારી ખાય,
દિવાળીને પરોઢિયે,
પાટણનું મહાજન મનાવવા
જાય.
આ ચોળા ભારે, વાયુ કરનાર, નારીનું ધાવણ વધારનાર છે. બાળકોને ચોળા પચવામાં ભારે પડે છે.
એનું પણ કહેવત જોડકણું :
બાળક કહે, મેં ખાધા ચોળા
મા કહે મારા બગાડ્યા ખોળા.
આપણે કઠોળ રોજ ખાઈએ છીએ પણ એના વિશે ભાગ્યે જ કશું જાણીએ છીએ.
આપણી કહેવતો કેવું મજાનું લોકશિક્ષણ આપે છે.
આપણે એનો અભ્યાસ કરીએ તો ખબર પડે ને !

જૂનાકાળે આજના જેવી શાળા, કૉલેજો અને યુનિવર્સિટીઓ નહોતી ત્યારે કંઠસ્થ લોકસાહિત્ય દ્વારા લોકજીવનમાં શિક્ષણનું કામ સુપેરે થતું.
આરોગ્ય જાળવવા અંગેની વાત હોય તો કહેવતો દ્વારા આ રીતે લોકજીભે રજૂ થતી :
ધાતુ વધારણ બળકરણ, જો પિયા પૂછો મોય,
દૂધ સમાન
ત્રિલોકને અવર ન ઔષધ કોય. ****
શ્રાવણની તો કાકડી, ભાદરવાની છાશ,
તાવ સંદેશો મોકલે, આજ આવું કે કાલ ****
દાંતે લૂણ જે વાપરે, કવળે ઊનું ખાય,
ડાબું પડખું દાબી સૂએ, તે ઘેર વૈદ્ય ન જાય. ****
ઓકી દાતણ જે કરે, નરણા હરડે ખાય,
દૂધે વાળું જે કરે, તે ઘેર વૈદ્ય ન
જાય. ****
દૂધ, અનાજ અને કઠોળ
માણસમાત્રનો રોજિંદો આહાર છે. આ આહાર કેમ લેવો, કેટલો લેવો, ક્યારે લેવો
એનું જ્ઞાન જૂનાકાળે આરોગ્ય સાથે જોડાયેલી કહેવતો આપતી. કોઠાસૂઝવાળા
લોકકવિઓના અનુભવ આરોગ્યરક્ષક અનાજ કઠોળની કહેવતોની આજે મારે વાત કરવી છે.
અહીં લોકકવિઓએ અનુભવ જે તે અનાજને મોઢે બોલાવ્યો છે, છે તો નાનકડી જ વાત પણ
અહીં લોકકવિની જે તે વિષયની સૂક્ષ્મ સૂઝ તરી આવે છે
:
ઘઉં કહે હું લાંબો દાણો,
વચમાં પડી લી,
મારી મજા લેવી હોય
તો લાવો ગોળ ને ઘી. ****
ઘઉંની પોળી નીપજે,
ઘઉંના ઘેબર થાય,
જેવા ઘઉં કેળવે,
તેવાં ભોજન થાય. ****
ઘઉં
એ અનાજનો રાજા છે. ઘઉંમાંથી થુલી, ઘઉંના લોટમાંથી રાબ, સુખડી, શીરો,
લાડવા, રોટલી,
ભાખરી, પૂરી, થેપલાં, પરોઠા, સેવ, હલવો, બરફી, ચુરમુ, ઘઉંના મેંદામાંથી
સુવાળી, ઘારી, ઘઉંના પોંકનું જાદરિયું, ઠોર, જલેબી, માલપુવા, ઘેબર, ઘેંસ,
લાપસી વગેરે બને છે. ઘઉંની પણ કેટકેટલી જાતો. ભાલિયા, બંસી, કાઠા, પુનમિયા,
પંજાબી, દાઉદખાની, વાજિયા, અમેરિકન, રાતાઘઉં વગેરે. ઘઉં સ્નિગ્ધ, મધુર,
બળકર, ધાતુવર્ધક, સારક, વાયુકરનાર અને કફનાશક મનાય છે. લોકસમાજે ભાવતાં
ભોજન સાથે ભગવાનનેય કેવા જોડી
દીધા છે !
રામનામ લાડવા,
ગોપાળ નામ ઘી,
કૃષ્ણનામ ખીર ખાંડ,
ઘોળી ઘોળી પી.
અર્થાત : દૂધ, ઘી, ખાંડ, દૂધની ખીર અને લાડવા રામ અને કૃષ્ણનું નામ લેતાં લેતાં ખાતાં રહો. ઘઉં પછી બાજરી આવીને બોલે છે :
કાળી છું પણ કામણગારી,
લેશો ના મુજ વાદ,
વાદ કર્યામાં વળશે શું,
પણ જોઈ લ્યો મુજ સ્વાદ.
બાજરો
એક એવું અનાજ છે જેને માણસો ને ઘોડા બેય ખાય છે. બેયનો આહાર છે. કહેવાય છે
કે કચ્છનો રાજવી લાખો ફુલાણી જંગલમાં શિકાર કરવા નીકળ્યો. એનો રસાલો દૂર
દૂર અંધારિયા આફ્રિકા ખંડમાં નીકળી ગયો. બધા ભૂલા પડ્યા. ખાવાનું કંઈ ન
મળે. એવામાં ખેતરમાં અનાજના ડૂંડા જોયાં. ભૂખ્યા રાજવી, સાથીદારો અને ઘોડાએ
એ ડૂંડા ખાવા માંડ્યા. થોડા દીમાં તો ઘોડામાં
તાકાત આવી અને ઉંમરલાયક બુઢ્ઢાઓને નવી જુવાની ફૂટી :
બલિહારી તુજ બાજરા,
જેનાં લાંબા પાન,
ઘોડાને પાંખું આવિયું,
બુઢ્ઢા થયા જુવાન
કિંવદિંત
કહે છે કે, લાખો ફુલાણી અંધારિયા ખંડમાંથી કચ્છમાં બાજરો પહેલવહેલો લાવ્યો
હતો. બાજરો શક્તિપ્રદ આહાર હોવાથી રાજારજવાડામાં ને ગામધણી દરબારો ને
ઘરધણી માણસ ઉત્તમ
ઓલાદના અશ્વો રાખતા અને ચાંદીમાં ભરડેલો બાજરો ખવરાવતા. મોટી ઉંમરે માણસને
માથે વૃદ્ધાવસ્થા આવીને બેસી જતી ને પાચનતંત્ર નબળું પડતું ત્યારે બાજરાનો
રોટલો એના બળ ને શક્તિને ટકાવી રાખતો. એને નવી શક્તિ બક્ષતો એટલે કહ્યું
છે કે, 'બુઢ્ઢા થયા જુવાન.'
બાજરીની બીજી પણ કહેવતો છે
(1) રોટલો બાજરીનો ને કજિયો વાઘરીનો (દેવીપૂજકનો).
(2) બાજરી કહે
હું બળ વધારું, ઘઉં કહે હું ચોપડ માગું.
હવે લીલુડા મગની કેફિયત આવે છે, મગ શું કહે છે ?
મગ કહે હું લીલો દાણો,
મારા માથે ચાંદુ,
મારો ખપ ત્યારે પડે,
માણસ હોય માંદું.
બધા
પ્રકારના કઠોળમાં મગ ઔષધ જેવું કઠોળ છે. મગનો દાણો લીલછોયો હોય છે અને
દાણા ઉપર એને કાંટો ફૂટે ઈ જગ્યાએ ટપકું, ચાંદુ હોય છે. આવા મગની
જરૂર બે પ્રસંગે પડે. એક તો આપણે ત્યાં કંઈક મંગલ પ્રસંગ હોય ત્યારે લાપસી
સાથે મગનું શાક શુકન ગણાય છે. એથીય આગળચાલીએ તો માણસને મોટા મંદવાડે ઘેરી
લીધો હોય ને આઠ-દસ માતરાયું (લાંઘણ ઉપવાસ) થઈ હોય ત્યારે મગના પાણીથી એના
ખોરાકની શરૂઆત વૈદ્યોને ડૉક્ટરો કરાવતા હોય છે. આમ મગ પચવામાં હલકા,
નિર્દોષ અને બળવર્ધક છે. આથી ગૃહસ્થોથી માંડીને જૈન મુનિઓમાં તેમજ અઠ્ઠાઈ
ઉપવાસ કરતાં જૈનોમાં
મગનો ઉપયોગ મોટા પ્રમાણમાં થાય છે. મગની પણ બે જાત. એક લીલા મગ ને બીજા
કાળા મગ. મગ પચવામાં હલકા, શીતલ, સ્વાદુ સહેજ વાતકારક અને નેત્રો માટે
હિતકારક છે એમ આયુર્વેદ કહે છે.
મગ સાથે કેટકેટલી કહેવતો જોડાયેલી છે.
(1) મગના ભાવે મરી વેચાય.
(2) મોંમાં કંઈ મગ ઓર્યા છે ?
(3) મગમાંથી પગ ફૂટ્યા.
(4) દેરાણી જેઠાણીના મગ ભેગા ચડે પણ
શોક્યોના મગ ભેગા ન ચડે.
(5) હજુ ક્યાં ચોખા-મગ ભેગા મળી ગયા છે ?
(6) વાણિયાભૈ મગનું નામ મરી નો પાડે.
(7) એક મગની બે ફાડ્ય.
(8) જે પાણીએ મગ ચડે તે પાણીએ ચડાવવા.
ગરીબડી ગણાતી જુવાર આવીને કહે છે :
જુવાર કહે હું રાતીધોળી,
કોઠીની છું રાણી,
ગરીબોનું હું ખાણું છું
ને મારી
થાયે ધાણી.
જુવાર કહે હું ગોળ દાણો,
ને મારા માથે ટોપી,
મારો ફાલ ખરો લેવાને,
કાળી ભોંયમાં રોપી.
જુવાર
કહે છે કે હું સુખિયા નહીં, પણ દુઃખિયા, ગરીબ લોકોનું ખાણું ગણાઉં છું.
જુવાર પૌષ્ટિક ગણાય છે. સુરતી જુવારનો પોંક છેક મુંબઈ સુધી જાયે છે. જુવાર
ખાવામાં મીઠી, પચવામાં હલકી છે. જુવારના રોટલા,
ઢોકળાં બને છે. ગામડામાં ગરીબગુરબા જુવાનો બોળો કે ઘેંસ બનાવીને પેટ ભરી
લ્યે છે. હુતાસણીના પર્વ પ્રસંગે જુવારની ધાણી ખાવાનો રિવાજ છે. બદલાતી
ઋતુમાં આ જ ધાણી કફ દૂર કરનારી છે એમ વૈદ્યો કહે છે. આજે કબૂતરોને નાખવામાં
આવતી જુવાર તો બાપા જગનું ઢાંકણ છે. માનવી પ્રભુને પ્રાર્થના કરતો કહે છે
કે, 'હે પ્રભુ, આછુંપાતળું જુવાર બાજરાનું ઢેબરું મળે તોય ઘણું.'
લોકકવિ ચોખાની ઓળખ આ
રીતે આપે છે :
ચોખો કહે કે હું ધોળોદાણો,
મારા માથે અણી,
મારી મજા લેવી હોય
તો દાળ નાખજો ઘણી.
ભારતમાં
ચોખાની પ્રાંતવાર જુદી જુદી જાતો જોવા મળે છે. સંસ્કૃતમાં ચોખાને 'શાલિ'
કહે છે. કાળા ચોખાને કૃષ્ણવીહી, ગુજરાતીમાં એને કાળી કમોદ કહે છે. ચોખાની
બારમાસી, સુરતી, કોલમ, લાલ ચોખા અને સાઠી ચાવલ જેવી અનેક જાતો છે.
સાઠી અર્થાત સાઈઠ દિવસે પાકતી કમોદ.
ચોખા ખાવા મળે એ ચારમાંનું એક સુખ ગણાતું :
સાઠી ચાવલ ભેંસ દૂધ,
ઘેર શીલવતી નાર,
ચોથો ચડવા રેવતો (અશ્વ)
ઈ સરગ નીસરણી ચાર.
આયુર્વેદની
દષ્ટિએ ચોખા ઠંડા છે, તે ગરમીને મટાડનાર, વીર્ય વધારનાર, પૌષ્ટિક, મીઠા,
બળ આપનાર, હલકા, રુચિકર, સ્વર સુધારનાર, મુત્ર અને મળને કાઢનાર, કફ
ઓછો કરી બુદ્ધિ વધારનાર ગણાય છે.
ચોખાની પણ કહેવતો જુઓ.
(1) ચોખો ચંપાય ને દાળ દબાય.
(2) ચોખા ભેગી ઈયળ બફાઈ જાય. (
3) દેરાણીજેઠાણીના ચોખા ભેગા ચડ્યાં સાંભળ્યાં નથી.
એ રીતે તુવેરરાણી ગુજરાતમાં ઘરોઘર માનીતાં છે. ગુજરાતણોની રસોઈમાં આ રાણી રોજ હાજર હોય છે, હવે એની વાત સાંભળો :
તુવેર કહે હું તાજો દાણો,
રસોઈની છું રાણી,
મારો સ્વાદ લેવો હોય તો,
પ્રમાણમાં નાખો પાણી. ****
તુવેર કહે હું દાળ બનાવું,
રસોઈનો રાખું રંગ,
જે ઘરમાં તુવેર ન હોય તે
ના જોઈ લ્યો ઢંગ.
તુવેરની
દાળ બને, દાળઢોકળી બને. પુરણપોળી બને. દરેક કઠોળના લોટના પાપડ બને, પણ
તુવેર એવું કઠોળ છે કે એનો
લોટ બનતો નથી. લીલી તુવેર બાફી મીઠું નાખીને ખવાય. તુવેરદાણા-લીલવાનું સરસ
શાક થાય. કચોરી બને. વૈદ્યો કહે છે કે તુવેરદાળ ભારે, લુખી અને ઠંડી છે.
શરીરની ક્રાંતિ વધારે છે. પિત્ત, વિષ, રક્તદોષ, વાયુ, પેટનો દુઃખાવો અને
હરસ મટાડે છે. ઘીમાં ખાવાથી ત્રિદોષનો નાશ કરે છે. પિત્ત, કફ, મેદ અને
કૃમિનો નાશ કરે છે. શિવરાતના કોઈ ભાંગ ચડી હોય તો એક ચમચો તુવેરની દાળ
વાટીને તેનું પાણી પાવામાં આવે
છે.
એ રીતે શક્તિવર્ધક ચણા સાથે કેવી મજાની કહેવતો જોડાઈ છે ?
ચણો કહે હું ખરબચડો,
ને પીળો રંગ જણાય,
રોજ પલાળી દાળ ખાય,
તે ઘોડા જેવો થાય. ****
ચણો કહે હું ખરબચડો
ને મારા માથે અણી,
ભીની દાળને ગોળ ખાય
તો બને મલ્લનો ધણી.
કઠોળમાં
સૌથી વધુ વપરાશ ચણાનો રહે છે. ચણાના લોટમાંથી સેવ, ગાંઠિયા, ભજિયાં,
પાતરા, બુંદી, લકડશી લાડુ, મગસ, મોહનથાળ, ખાંડવી વગેરે બને છે. ચણાના
લોટમાં દૂધ કે મલાઈ કે હળદ મેળવીને સ્નાન કરવાથી શરીરનો વાન ઊઘડે છે,
ક્રાંતિ વધે છે. ગામડામાં જૂના કાળે અમુક જ્ઞાતિમાં લગ્નપ્રસંગે જાનને
મરિયા-બાફીને વઘારેલા ચણાનું શાક ને સુખડી આપવામાં આવતા. આ ચણા શીતળ, વાયુ
કરનાર, પિત્તહર, રક્તદોષ હરનાર,
કફહર, હલકા ને દસ્ત રોકનાર ગણાય છે. તે જવરને પણ મટાડે છે.
ચણા સાથે જોડાયેલી અન્ય કહેવતો :
ચણાવાળાની દીકરી ને મમરાવાળાની વહુ,
લાડે લાડે ચાલે, તેને ટપલાં મારે સહુ.
અડદ કાળા કઠોળમાં આવે. એના માટે કહેવાય છે કે, જો ખાય અડદ તો થાય મરદ. એનીય કહેવતો લોકકંઠે રમતી જોવા મળે છે :
અડદ કહે હું કાળો દાણો,
પૌષ્ટિકતામાં પહેલો,
માણસને હું મરદ બનાવું,
જો મસાલો ભેળો. ****
અડદ કહે હું કાળો દાણો,
માથે ધોળો છાંટો,
શિયાળામાં સેવન કરો,
તો શરીરમાં આવે કાંટો. ****
અડદ કહે હું કઠોર દાણો,
ચીકાશ મુજબમાં ઝાઝો,
ખટ (છ) મહિના જો મુજને ખાઓ,
બળિયા સાથે બાઝો.
સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં
અડદની દાળ બાજરાના રોટલા સાથે ખવાય છે. પટેલો અને રાજપૂતો એનો ઉપયોગ
નિયમિત રીતે કરતાં જોવા મળ્યા છે. અડદમાં પ્રોટિન વધારે હોવાથી તે બળવર્ધક
બની રહે છે. અડદની દાળમાંથી બનતો અડદિયા પાક શિયાળામાં ખાવાથી બારમાસીની
શક્તિ મળે છે એમ કહેવાય છે. અડદની દાળમાંથી વડાં બને છે. લકવાના દર્દીને
અડદના વડાં ખવરાવવામાં આવે છે. અડદ વાતહર, બળ આપનાર, વીર્ય વધારનાર,
પૌષ્ટિક, ધાવણ વધારનાર, રુચિ ઉત્પન્ન કરનાર, મળમૂત્રનો ખુલાસો લાવનાર, મેદ
વધારનાર, પિત્ત અને કફ વધારનાર ગણાય છે.
દિવાળીનું પરબ આવે ત્યારે બાઈયુંને મઠિયા યાદ આવે. ચણા બાજરાની જેમ મઠ માણસોય ખાય ને ઘોડાય ખાય, એટલે કહેવાય છે :
મઠ કહે હું ઝીણો દાણો,
મારા માથે નાકું,
મારી પરખ ક્યારે પડે
કે ઘોડું આવે થાક્યું.
મઠ સાથે ઘણી કહેવતો જોડાઈ છે : ઉ…ત,
મઠને ખેતર માળો નંઈ,
ઉંદરને ઉચાળો નંઈ,
ઘેલીને ગવાળો નંઈ
ને કુંભારને સાળો નંઈ
મઠનું સંસ્કૃત નામ મુકુષ્ઠક છે. તે વાયુ કરનાર, જઠરાગ્નિને મંદ કરનાર, કૃમિ અને તાવ મટાડનાર મનાય છે.
ચોળા
એ વાયડું કઠોળ ગણાય છે. એને માટે કહેવાય છે :
મઠ કરે હઠ, ચોળો ચાંપ્યો ના રહે, વા કરે ઢગ, સહેજ ઢાંક્યો ના રહે.
મગની જેમ ચોળા શુકનવંતુ કઠોળ ગણાય છે. જૈનો દિવાળી અને બેસતા વર્ષે શુકનમાં ચોળા ખાય છે. એથી તો કહેવત પડી કે :
લોક કરે ઢોકળાં,
વૈદ્ય વઘારી ખાય,
દિવાળીને પરોઢિયે,
પાટણનું મહાજન મનાવવા
જાય.
આ ચોળા ભારે, વાયુ કરનાર, નારીનું ધાવણ વધારનાર છે. બાળકોને ચોળા પચવામાં ભારે પડે છે.
એનું પણ કહેવત જોડકણું :
બાળક કહે, મેં ખાધા ચોળા
મા કહે મારા બગાડ્યા ખોળા.
આપણે કઠોળ રોજ ખાઈએ છીએ પણ એના વિશે ભાગ્યે જ કશું જાણીએ છીએ.
આપણી કહેવતો કેવું મજાનું લોકશિક્ષણ આપે છે.
આપણે એનો અભ્યાસ કરીએ તો ખબર પડે ને !

Jai Shri Krishna,
Raas Panchaadhyayi (Raas leela) is as significant in the Shrimad Bhagavat as is our soul within our body. Raas Panchaadhyayi is referred to the five sections (section 29 to 33) in the second part of the tenth chapter of the Shrimad Bhagavat. Pujya Bhaishri describes the journey of a Gopi on the night of the Raas and its significance in this article.
A Gopi is one who desires nothing from Shri Krishna. She wants only Shri Krishna himself. She wants to create a Raas with Shri Krishna andplay with him. She wants to be happy on seeing Shri Krishna's happiness.
Shri Shukdevji says,"Shri Krishna desired to perform a Raas leela on seeing the divine night of Sharad Purnima and the majestically flowered forest". God does not have any desires. He is content.
What is Raas? It is the war between Kaam Dev and Shri Krishna. Kaam Dev was egoistic about having interrupted Shri Shivji's meditation and decided to approach Shri Krishna and said,"I want to fight with you." God agreed. However, Kaam Dev put forward a condition,"Will you come with the beautiful Gopis of Vraj, and against who even the celestial ladies of heaven appear pale, on the full moon day of the month of Ashvin in Vrindavan?" This way Kaam Dev asked for a favourable environment for himself but God agreed Kaam Dev also said that he did not want the presence of his father, the mind.
Therefore, on the night of Sharad Purnima, God played his flute and as soon as the Gopis heard this, he stole their minds. This way, the Gopis were without any desires, whereas God had stolen the Gopis minds, thus he desired to play the Raas. The sound produced by God from his flute increased kaam (desire) in the Gopis but this kaam was related to Shri Krishna.
In normal circumstances, kaam (lust), anger, fear and spite are not good emotions. However, when these feelings develop in one whose mind Shri Krishna has stolen, then it results in one's welfare. This is why those who have fought with Shri Krishna and been angry upon him have received emancipation, for example, Shishupal and Kans.
Similarly, the kaam developed in Gopis is attached to Shri Krishna which led to the Gopis getting excited and therefore they woke up from a deep sleep.
Shri Krishna called each Gopi by her name with the sound of his flute. Each Gopi thought that she has been summoned on her own and thus left the house without telling anybody. Now for a woman, it is difficult to go on her own in the forest at night.
A woman is bound by several boundaries of decency. However, the Gopis' love was such that it gave them courage, despite the fear in their minds. Where there is fear and selfishness, this is known as lust. Ravan was very powerful but due to lust, when he went to kidnap Sitaji in the form of an ascetic, he got scared just on the movement of a leaf on a tree! Bushundiji says that Oh Garud, similarly a human on the wrong path loses intelligence and power and remains only with fear.
Here, the Gopi have no fear in their minds. Why? Because the Gopis are not doing anything wrong. They are proceeding to achieve their goal in life. Playing with Shri Krishna is achieving God. To desire Shri Krishna is a good thing. Desires related to Shri Krishna is a great fortune hence the Gopis are fearless.
All the Gopis felt that Shri Krishna is calling each one by her name. Each one thought that she was on her own when actually there were many of them. This means that in this world, there are many people treading on the path to achieve God, but we have to pursue our journey on our own. There is no secrecy in our relationship with God but there is privacy.
So, the Gopis left everything they had including family, wealth, happiness and comfort and reached where Shri Krishna was in Vrindavan. Shri Krishna welcomed all the Gopis.
At this point, Shri Krishna tested via a conversation with the Gopis that they want nothing but him. Their sacrifice for the worldly pleasuresis not out of exuberance. God was pleased and said to the Gopis,"Come, and let us play the Raas."
On this auspicious day of Sharad Purnima let us also play Raas with Shri Krishna with this bhajan Aiso raas rachyo Rameshbhaiji Oza

Shri Shukdevji says,"Shri Krishna desired to perform a Raas leela on seeing the divine night of Sharad Purnima and the majestically flowered forest". God does not have any desires. He is content.
What is Raas? It is the war between Kaam Dev and Shri Krishna. Kaam Dev was egoistic about having interrupted Shri Shivji's meditation and decided to approach Shri Krishna and said,"I want to fight with you." God agreed. However, Kaam Dev put forward a condition,"Will you come with the beautiful Gopis of Vraj, and against who even the celestial ladies of heaven appear pale, on the full moon day of the month of Ashvin in Vrindavan?" This way Kaam Dev asked for a favourable environment for himself but God agreed Kaam Dev also said that he did not want the presence of his father, the mind.
Therefore, on the night of Sharad Purnima, God played his flute and as soon as the Gopis heard this, he stole their minds. This way, the Gopis were without any desires, whereas God had stolen the Gopis minds, thus he desired to play the Raas. The sound produced by God from his flute increased kaam (desire) in the Gopis but this kaam was related to Shri Krishna.
In normal circumstances, kaam (lust), anger, fear and spite are not good emotions. However, when these feelings develop in one whose mind Shri Krishna has stolen, then it results in one's welfare. This is why those who have fought with Shri Krishna and been angry upon him have received emancipation, for example, Shishupal and Kans.
Similarly, the kaam developed in Gopis is attached to Shri Krishna which led to the Gopis getting excited and therefore they woke up from a deep sleep.
Shri Krishna called each Gopi by her name with the sound of his flute. Each Gopi thought that she has been summoned on her own and thus left the house without telling anybody. Now for a woman, it is difficult to go on her own in the forest at night.
A woman is bound by several boundaries of decency. However, the Gopis' love was such that it gave them courage, despite the fear in their minds. Where there is fear and selfishness, this is known as lust. Ravan was very powerful but due to lust, when he went to kidnap Sitaji in the form of an ascetic, he got scared just on the movement of a leaf on a tree! Bushundiji says that Oh Garud, similarly a human on the wrong path loses intelligence and power and remains only with fear.
Here, the Gopi have no fear in their minds. Why? Because the Gopis are not doing anything wrong. They are proceeding to achieve their goal in life. Playing with Shri Krishna is achieving God. To desire Shri Krishna is a good thing. Desires related to Shri Krishna is a great fortune hence the Gopis are fearless.
All the Gopis felt that Shri Krishna is calling each one by her name. Each one thought that she was on her own when actually there were many of them. This means that in this world, there are many people treading on the path to achieve God, but we have to pursue our journey on our own. There is no secrecy in our relationship with God but there is privacy.
So, the Gopis left everything they had including family, wealth, happiness and comfort and reached where Shri Krishna was in Vrindavan. Shri Krishna welcomed all the Gopis.
At this point, Shri Krishna tested via a conversation with the Gopis that they want nothing but him. Their sacrifice for the worldly pleasuresis not out of exuberance. God was pleased and said to the Gopis,"Come, and let us play the Raas."

I am ready to drive up my van from Valsad on 03.11.12.
- almost at the end of treatment.
- lost 9 kgs ( makes me look much younger ! )
- fresh healthy blood in veins.
- extra fresh energetic enthusiasm for seconiid innings.
- elevated ability to accept & Understand Life as it comes.
- transferring life driving / navigation controls to boys.
- simply want NOTHING for self.
- will spend time for people elder than me and youth.
- will find few children to play outdoor games.
- will share my knowledge & expirience to people who deserve.
