With great sadness, we announce the passing of Babulal Sheth, husband of Ramila Sheth. He is survived by his children, Dipti Talati, Purnima Sheth, Sandhya Desai, Nisha Kadakia, and Gopi Sheth along with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was greatly respected and loved by the Dahod community, family and friends. Details for the funeral arrangements and besnu (prayers) are written below:

વિશ્વ મહિલા દિન નિમિતે આજે તા: 8 માર્ચના રોજ દાહોદની સ્ત્રી સશક્તિકરણના ક્ષેત્રે ઉમદા કાર્યો કરતી સંસ્થા ''સહજ'' ના પ્રાંગણમાં એક વિશેષ કાર્યક્રમ થયો હતો.

ગરબાડાના ધારાસભ્ય શ્રીમતી ચંદ્રિકાબેન બારીયાના અધ્યક્ષસ્થાને યોજાયેલ આ કાર્યક્રમમાં દેવગઢ બારીયાની ''આનંદી'' સંસ્થાના શ્રીમતી નીતાબેન હાર્ડીકર અતિથી વિશેષ તરીકે ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા તો નાબાર્ડના ડાયરેક્ટરશ્રી તથા બ્રહ્મકુમારીના સુશ્રી કપીલાબેનની પણ વિશેષ ઉપસ્થિતિ હતી. અધ્યક્ષસ્થાનેથી બોલતા શ્રીમતી ચંદ્રીકાબેને પોતે સાવ સામાન્ય કક્ષાની ગ્રામ્ય નારીમાંથી ધારાસભ્ય તરીકેની કારકીર્દીની વાત પોતાની આત્મીય શૈલીમાં જણાવી હતી. તો 'સહજ' સાથે જોડાયેલ વિવિધ ગ્રામ્ય મહિલાઓએ પણ પોતાના અનુભવો દર્શાવ્યા હતા.શ્રીમતી નીતાબેન હાર્ડીકરે મહિલાઓને પોતે જ હિંમતપૂર્વક પોતાનો આત્મવિકાસ સાધવા અપીલ કરી હતી. સહજના સ્થાપક સુશ્રી જબીનબેન જાંબુઘોડાવાલાએ આ અગાઉ આવકાર વક્તવ્ય કર્યું હતું. અને સહજના ડાયરેક્ટરશ્રી રણવીર સિસોદિયાએ સમગ્ર કાર્યક્રમનું સફળ સંચાલન કર્યું હતું. છેલ્લે શ્રી મનન ભટ્ટે આભાર દર્શન કર્યું હતું.

અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે આ પ્રસંગે એક સ્ત્રી રોગ નિદાન કેમ્પનું પણ લુણાવાડાના તબીબોની ટીમના સૌજન્યથી અત્રે આયોજન થયું હતું જેનો મોટી સંખ્યામાં ઉપસ્થિત બહેનોએ લાભ લીધો હતો.

આ દિવસે દાહોદ રેલ્વે વર્કશોપ ખાતે પણ વેસ્ટર્ન રેલ્વે એમ્પ્લોઇઝ યુનીયનની મહિલા વિંગ દ્વારા અને દાહોદ તાલુકા પંચાયત દ્વારા પણ આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય મહિલા દિન નિમિત્તે વિશેષ કાર્યક્રમ યોજાયા હતા.
