દાહોદના દેસાઈવાડ વિસ્તારમાં રહેતા શ્રીમતિ શકુંતલાબેન નિકુંજભાઈ દેસાઈનું આજે તા:17-08-2013 ને પવિત્ર અગિયારસના રોજ દુ:ખદ અવસાન થયું છે. શ્રી સુજીત, શ્રી નિરજ દેસાઈ ''ગોપી'' ( નગર સેવા સદનના કાઉન્સિલર) તથા નિશ્ચલ દેસાઈના માતૃશ્રી શ્રીમતિ શકુંતલાબેન દેસાઈના આત્માને પરમકૃપાળુ પરમાત્મા શાંતિ અર્પે તેવી પ્રાર્થના.
ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કંપની કલેમ
પ્રીમિયમ મોડેથી ભર્યુ હોવાનું કારણ આગળ ધરી ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કંપની કલેમ નકારી શકે નહીં
મુંબઈ, તા. ૧૬ : પ્રીમિયમ મોડેથી મળ્યું હોવાનું કારણ આગળ ધરી કોઈ ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કંપની ગ્રાહકનાં કલેમને નકારી શકે નહીં એવું જણાવતા કન્ઝયુમર ફોરમે અંધેરીના રહેવાસી અરવિંદ પીઠવાને તેમની ચોરાયેલી રીક્ષા બદલ ૧.૨૫ લાખ તથા ૫૫૦૦૦ રૂપિયા વળતર ચૂકવવા ઈફકો ટોકયો જનરલ ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કંપનીને આદેશ આપ્યો હતો. રીક્ષા ખરીદ્યા બાદ અરવિંદ પીઠવાએ ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કઢાવ્યું હતું જેનો સમયગાળો ૨૦૦૮ ની ૨૧ જૂનથી ૨૦૦૯ની ૨૦ જૂન હતો. અવધિ પૂરી થતા પહેલા અરવિંદે ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ રીન્યુ કરવાનો ચેક આપ્યો હતો, પરંતુ એ દરમ્યાન ૨૦૦૯ની બાવીસથી ૨૩ જૂન દરમ્યાન તેમની રીક્ષા ચોરાઈ ગઈ હતી. ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કંપનીએ એવો દાવો કર્યો હતો કે ચેક ૨૦૦૯ની ૨૫ જૂને મળતા ઈન્સ્યોરન્સનો સમયગાળો ૨૭ જૂનથી શરૂ થયો હતો. જોકે કન્ઝયુમર ફોરમે કંપનીની આ વાતને માન્ય નહોતી રાખી, પરંતુ ગ્રાહકે સમયસર ચેક આપ્યો હતો જેને ઈન્સ્યોરન્સ કંપનીએ ભર્યો નહોતો એ વાતને માન્ય રાખી હતી.

મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઇ મોદીએ રાજ્યમાં લોકાભિમુખ અને વિકેન્દ્રીત વહીવટની દિશામાં, ગુજરાતના સાત નવા જિલ્લાની રચનાની જાહેરાત આજે કરી છે. તા.1પ ઓગસ્ટ આઝાદીના પાવન પર્વથી સાતેય નવા જિલ્લા પ્રશાસનિક ધોરણે વિધિવત કાર્યરત થઇ જશે.

રાજ્યના મહેસૂલ મંત્રીશ્રીમતી આનંદીબેન પટેલના માર્ગદર્શન હેઠળ, મહેસૂલ વિભાગે નવા સાત જિલ્લાઓની રચના અને વહીવટી વ્યવસ્થા ગોઠવવા અંગેની પ્રક્રિયા પૂર્ણ કરી છે. રાજ્ય મંત્રીમંડળની પેટા સમિતિએ આ ભલામણોનો સૈધાન્તિક સ્વીકાર કર્યો છે અને આજે મુખ્યમંત્રીશ્રીએ સાત નવા જિલ્લાઓ અને નવરચિત જિલ્લાઓના મુખ્ય જિલ્લામથકોની વિધિવત જાહેરાત કરી છે. આમ હાલ રાજ્યમાં ર6 જિલ્લાઓ છે તેમાં 1પ મી ઓગસ્ટથી નવા સાત જિલ્લાનો ઉમેરો થતા 33 જિલ્લાઓ બનશે.

It is monsoon season yet again! And this time the rain Gods are in a much more benevolent mood. The rains bring with them a much wanted respite from the sweltering summer heat and everyone, be it a child or an adult experiences the stirrings of wanderlust within themselves.

'Sitavan' is the place where Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman spent years of their exile. The 'Pandav Gufa' is rumoured to have sheltered the Pandavas during their exile. It is from this hideout that Arjun began his appeasement of Lord Shiva for acquiring the celestial weapons. The ancient Arvalem cave complex stand witness to the rich cultural heritage of India.
