મહાહોનારત વેળા લાખો રૃપિયાની બરબાદી ખોટી એડ્ છપાવીને ઉત્તરાખંડ સરકારે પ્રજાના લાખો રૃપિયા બરબાદ કર્યા દેશનાં તમામ અગ્રણી અખબારોમાં ઉત્તરાખંડ સરકારનાં ગુણગાન ગાતી જાહેરખબરો પ્રસિદ્ધ કરાઈ

નવી દિલ્હી ઃ ઉત્તરાખંડમાં જ્યારે હજુ પણ કુદરતનો કાળો કેર જારી છે અને હજુ હજારો લોકો ફસાયેલા છે ત્યારે ઉત્તરાખંડ સરકારે પોતે કેવા રાહતકાર્યો કર્યાં છે અને કેદારનાથ માટે હવે સરકારની આગળની યોજના શું છે તેની શેખી મારતી મોટી મોટી જાહેરખબરો ભારતના તમામ અગ્રણી અખબારોમાં છપાવીને પ્રજાના લાખો રૃપિયા બદબાદ કરી રહી છે.

ઉત્તરાખંડમાં હજુ ગમે ત્યારે વરસાદ ત્રાટકે છે દેવપ્રયાગના ભોટમરોડમાં ફરી વાદળ ફાટતાં ત્રાણ લોકો તણાઈ ગયા છે અને કેટલાંક ઘરો ધરાશયી થઈ ગયાં છે. આભ ફાટવાથી ટિહરી-ગંગોત્રી હાઈ વે બંધ થઈ ગયા છે. તેના કારણે અનેક યાત્રીઓ ફસાયેલા છે. વરસાદને કારણે રાહત અને બચાવ કામગીરી ખોરંભે પડી છે. હવાઈ માર્ગથી રેસ્કયુ ઓપરેશન જારી છે. જ્યાં હેલિકોપ્ટર દ્વારા પહોંચવું મુશ્કેલ છે. ત્યાં ડ્રોન વિમાન મોકલવામાં આવ્યાં છે. સુપ્રીમ કોર્ટે પણ  રાહત ઓપરેશન ઝડપી બનાવવા ફરમાન કર્યું છેઉત્તરાખંડમાં આપત્તિ માટે બધા લોકો મદદ માટે આગળ આવી રહ્યા છે. એટલે સુધી કે કચરો વીણતાં બાળકો પણ ૨૦ હજાર રૃપિયાની મદદ કરી રહ્યા છે. આવી વિકટ અને કપરી પરિસ્થિતિમાં ઉત્તરાખંડ સરકાર આત્મ પ્રથસ્તિ કરતી જાહેરખબરો પાછળ લાખો રૃપિયાનું આંધણ કરી રહી છે. ઉત્તરાખંડ સરકાર આ સંકટની ઘડીમાં પ્રજા સાથે છે એવું બતાવવા માત્ર ઉત્તરાખંડના અખબારોમાં નહીં, બલકે દેશના અગ્રણી અખબારોમાં લાખો રૃપિયાના ખર્ચે જાહેરાતો પ્રસિદ્ધ કરાવી રહી છે. આ જાહેરખબરો રાજ્યના મુખ્યપ્રધાન વિજય બહુગુણા તરફથી રિલીઝ કરવામાં આવી છે, પરંતુ તેમાં કોંગ્રેસ અધ્યક્ષા સોનિયા ગાંધ અને વડાપ્રધાન મનમોહનસિંહની તસવીરો ધ્યાનાકર્ષક રીતે છપાવવામાં આવી છે.પરંતુ ઘણા લોકોનું માનવું છે કે આવા ભીષણ સંકટ સમયે આ પ્રકારની રાજ્ય સરકારના ગુણગાન ગાતી જાહેરખબરો છપાવવી એ પૈસાની બરબાદી છે. પૈસાની બરબાદી ઉપરાંત જાહેરખબરોમાં બે ભૂલો પણ છપાઈ છે. જેમાં ઉત્તરાખંડ અને મેઝર્સના સ્પેલિંગ્સ ખોટા છાપવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ ભૂલ ધ્યાન પર આવતાં અને સરકારની છબી બગાડવાના ડરથી મંગળવારે આ ભૂલ સુધારીને ફરીથી જાહેરખબરો છાપવામાં આવી હતી.

હેલિકોપ્ટર દુર્ઘટનાના મૃત જવાનોને મોદીએ પાંચ લાખની સહાય જાહેર કરી

નવી દિલ્હી-દહેરાદૂનઃ ઉત્તરાખંડમાં પૂરગ્રસ્તોની મદદે ગયેલુ એક હેલિકોપ્ટર દુર્ઘટનાગ્રસ્ત થતાં પાંચ ક્રૂ મેમ્બર સહિત ૨૦ના મોત નિપજ્યાં છે. કેદારનાથથી પરત ફરી રહેલુ આ હેલિકોપ્ટર ગૌરીકુંડ પાસે દુર્ઘટનાગ્રસ્ત થયુ હતુ. આ અકસ્માતમાં મૃત્યુ પામનારાઓ માટે મુખ્યપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ રૃ.પાંચ લાખની સહાય જાહેર કરી છે.

કેદારનાથમાં પૂરમાં મૃત્યુ પામનારાઓની અંતિમક્રિયા માટે જરૃરી સામાન લઈને એરફોર્સનુ એમઆઈ-૧૭ હેલિકોપ્ટર આવી રહ્યુ હતુ જે ગૌરીકુંડ નજીક કોઈ કારણસર ક્રેશ થયુ હતુ. ખરાબ હવામાનને કારણે આ હેલિકોપ્ટર ક્રેશ થયાનુ અનુમાન છે. જ્યારે આ હેલિકોપ્ટર ક્રેશ થયુ ત્યારે તેમાં નવ એનડીઆરએફ અને છ આઈટીબીપી જવાન સહિત ૨૦ લોકો હતા. જાણકારોના મતે આ હેલિકોપ્ટર અત્યંત મજબૂત ગણાય છે, પરંતુ ઉત્તરાખંડની વર્તમાન પરિસ્થિતિ જોતા આ દુર્ઘટના આશ્ચર્યજનક કહી ન શકાય. ચોપર બ્લેડ વરસાદના મુદ્દે ભારે સંવેદનશીલ હોય છે. આવા વરસાદી માહોલમાં હેલિકોપ્ટર ઉડાડવુ એ ભારે જોખમરૃપ કામગીરી હતી, પરંતુ પરિસ્થિતિ જોતા જોખમ છતાં તે નિર્ણય કરવો પડ્યો હતો અને સેના હજુ પણ આવા જોખમો લેતી રહેશે.

એર ચીફ માર્ર્શલ એન. એ. કે. બ્રાઉને જણાવ્યુ કે આ અકસ્માત છતાં એરફોર્સ તેનુ કામ ચાલુ રાખશે. સેનાના હેલિકોપ્ટરો બચાવ કાર્ય સતત ચાલુ જ રાખશે. તેમણે ખાતરીપૂર્વક જણાવ્યુ કે, જ્યાં સુધી ફસાયેલી એક-એક વ્યક્તિને બચાવી ન લેવાય ત્યાં સુધી હેલિકોપ્ટરો ઉડાવવાનુ ચાલુ રાખશે. આ માટે એરફોર્સ રાત-દિવસ બચાવ કાર્ય કરશે.

ઉત્તરાખંડના મુખ્યપ્રધાન વિજય બહુગુણાએ હેલિકોપ્ટર અકસ્માતમાં મોતને ભેટનારા સુરક્ષા જવાનોના પરિવાર માટે રૃ.૧૦-૧૦ લાખની સહાય જાહેર કરી છે. ઉપરાંત મુખ્યપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ પણ આ અકસ્માતના મૃતકો માટે રૃ.પાંચ લાખની સહાય જાહેર કરી છે. એરફોર્સના પ્રવક્તાએ જણાવ્યુ કે આ અકસ્માત અંગે તપાસ કરવા કોર્ટ ઓફ ઈન્કવાયરીનો આદેશ કરી દેવાયો છે.

નવી દિલ્હીઃ ઉત્તરાખંડના જે વિસ્તારોમાં પૂરે વિનાશ વેર્યો છે ત્યાંનાં સ્થાનિક ગામોના સેંકડો લોકો સશસ્ત્ર દળ દ્વારા ઊભા કરાયેલા તબીબી કેમ્પોમાં તાવ, ઝાડા અને ઊલટીની ફરિયાદ કરી રહ્યા છે, જેના લીધે આ વિસ્તારમાં મહામારી ફેલાવાની દહેશત સર્જાઈ છે.

કેદારનાથ ખીણમાં ગુપ્તકાશી નજીક આવેલા એક નાનકડા ગામ રામનગરમાં સોમવાર અને મંગળવાર દરમિયાન આશરે ૧૨૮ લોકોએ હાઈ ટેમ્પ્રેચર અને ગેસ્ટ્રો-ઈન્સ્ટેસ્ટિનલ ચેપની ફરિયાદ કરી હતી. કેદારનાથમાં બચાવકાર્યમાં જોડાયેલા આઇટીબીપીના ત્રણ જવાન પણ માંદા પડી ગયા હોવાના અહેવાલ છે.

ખીણમાં ઠેકઠેકાણે પડેલા સેંકડો મૃતદેહ સડી રહ્યા છે, જેના લીધે આ વિસ્તારના પાણીના સ્રોત દૂષિત થયા હોવાની સત્તાવાળાઓને બીક છે. આઈટીબીપી, સશસ્ત્ર દળ અને એનડીઆરએફ દ્વારા સારવાર માટેના શિબિર સ્થાપવામાં આવ્યા છે, જે પીડિતોને દવાઓ આપી રહ્યા છે તેમ છતાં કેન્દ્ર ડોક્ટરો અને વિશેષજ્ઞો વડે બનેલી એક ઉચ્ચ સ્તરીય ટીમ ઉત્તરાખંડ મોકલી રહ્યું છે, જે જાહેર આરોગ્ય માટે લેવાયેલા પગલાઓની સમીક્ષા કરશે.

હજુ સુધી પાણી/હવાને લીધે અથવા તેમના સીધા સંપર્કને લીધે થતા રોગ પૈકીનો એક પણ કેસ નોંધાયો નથી. તેથી સરકારને પરિસ્થિતિ ભયજનક જણાતી નથી, તેમ છતાં અલ્વલપુર (હરિદ્વાર), ઉડવી (ઉત્તર કાશી) અને ચંદ્રપુરી (રુદ્રપ્રયાગ) જેવા વિસ્તારોમાં ઝાડાના કેસ સ્થાનિક તબીબી સહાય ટુકડીઓના ધ્યાન પર આવ્યા છે.

કેદારનાથમાં પરિસ્થિતિ ઘણી જ ભયાનક છે. "પાછલા બે દિવસમાં ગુપ્તકાશીના એક ગામના ૧૨૮ લોકોએ પાણીના ચેપને લીધે થતા રોગની ફરિયાદ કરી છે. આ વિસ્તારનું પાણી દૂષિત થયું હોય એવું લાગે છે" એવું એનડીઆરએફના એક અધિકારીએ જણાવ્યું હતું.

The wonder and beauty of Planet Earth is illustrated perfectly in this years ongoing series of entries submitted for National Geographic Traveler's Photo Contest

Regardless of whether the images were captured by amateur or professional photographers, thousands of pictures flooded into the contest which boasts four categories, including portraits, outdoor scenes, sense of place and spontaneous moments.

This latest batch of 'outdoor scene' entries to the competition which will run up to June 30th, includes highlights such as a lone fennec, or desert fox pawing its way across sand dunes to a single Bibron's gecko feasting on bugs attracted by the light of a tent.

The winner of the 2013 Traveler Photo Contest will receive a 10-day National Geographic Expedition to the Galápagos and have their prized photo published in National Geographic Traveler magazine. Runner up with be awarded a seven-day National Geographic Photography Workshop, while third prize is a six-day cruise on a Maine windjammer schooner for two.

'Our photo contest turns 25 this year, making it, we believe, the longest-running travel photo contest in the world,' said Keith Bellows, National Geographic Traveler magazine editor in chief.

'In the last few years it seems as if the quality of shots has taken a quantum leap forward. The pictures increasingly reflect a more sophisticated way of seeing and interpreting the world, making the judging process more difficult. We encourage photographers to enter their work and compete against the best.'

ચોમાસાના દિવસોમાં આપણને અવારનવાર એવા સમાચાર વાંચવા મળે છે કે પછી ભારે વરસાદને પગલે  થયેલી શોર્ટ-સર્કીટને કારણે અકસ્માત સર્જાયો. આવી સ્થિતિમાં વીજળીનો પ્રવાહ પસાર થઈ રહ્યો હોય એવાં વાયર જમીન પર પડી જાય, પાણી ભરેલા ખાડામાં પડી જાય ત્યારે જો કોઈનો પગ તેના ઉપર પડે તો શોક લાગવાથી તેનું મૃત્યુ થઈ શકે. બહેતર છે કે ભારે વરસાદ દરમિયાન નીચે જોઈને ચાલવું. સડક કે ફૂટપાથ પર વાયર પડેલો દેખાય તો તેનાથી દૂર રહેવું. વૃક્ષ પડી ગયું હોય તો તેનાથી પણ દૂર રહેવું.

- જો ગાજ-વીજ સાથે ધોધમાર વરસાદ વરસતો હોય તો તમારા ઇલેક્ટ્રિક ડિવાઈસની સ્વીચ બંધ કરીને સોકેટમાંથી પ્લગ કાઢી નાખો.
- વીજળીના થાંભલાને અડવાની ભૂલ ન કરો.
- કોઈપણ ઇલેક્ટ્રિક  એપ્લાયંસનું સમારકામ કરતી વખતે મેન સ્વીચ બંધ કરી દો. સમારકામ કરતી વ્યક્તિએ રબરના સ્લીપર પહેરવા.
- ટેલિવિઝન એન્ટેના કે સેટેલાઈટ ડિશ ઇલેક્ટ્રિક વાયરથી દૂર રાખો.
- ખુલ્લા વાયર કે ભીના ઇલેકટ્રોનિક એપ્લાયંસને ન અડો,
- ઇલેક્ટ્રિક એપ્લાયંસ બારી પાસે ન રાખો. ભારે વરસાદ અને પવનને પગલે આવતી વાછંટથી તેમાં શોક લાગવાનો ભય રહે છે. શક્ય હોય ત્યાં સુધી તેને પ્લાસ્ટિકમાં વીંટળીને અથવા એકદમ કોરી જગ્યા પર રાખો.
- જો ઇલેક્ટ્રિક મીટર પાસે પાણી ભરાઈ જાય તો તેને તાત્કાલિક સ્વીચ ઓફ કરી દો.
- જો ઘરમાં શોર્ટ-સર્કિટ થાય તો મેન સ્વીચ બંધ કરી દો,
- જ્યારે જરૃર ન હોય ત્યારે સોકેટમાંથી પ્લગ કાઢી નાખો.
- જો રસ્તા પર ક્યાંય લાઈવ વાયર પડેલું જુઓ તો તરત જ એમએસઈડીસીએલને તેની જાણ કરો.

The temple is closed for next two years.

The unprecedented flood and rains have badly damaged the famous Kedarnath temple. Rescuers have now reached the temple. Here are the first pictures taken after the devastating flood.
Other buildings around it were also damaged following monsoon rains at the Holy city in Uttrakhand. 

 

The saving of the Temple is a miracle, it is either Ganga paying respect to Lord Shiva or Nandi safeguarding his master, whatever it is ,One big stone behind the temple diverted the water from damaging the temple. Was it accidental or divine act  or  robust engineering?
