કવિએ આ પંક્તિઓમાં ગુજરાતની અસ્મિતાને, તેના સંસ્કૃતિને, તેની આગવી ઓળખને, તેની અસ્તિવત્વની સુંવાસને અક્ષરદેહ આપ્યો છે. એક સમયે ગાંડી ગુજરાત ગણાતી આપણી આ ભોમકા આજે દેશ દુનિયામાં આગવી ઓળખ ઉભી કરી ચુકી છે. ગરવા ગુર્જર દેશના નામે સમ-દ્ધ અર્થતંત્રના કેટલાય રેકોર્ડ નોંધાયા છે. જે મુજવ બાત કરીએ તો દેશના કુલ ઔદ્યોગિક ઉત્પાદનમાં ગુજરાતનો ફાળો 20 ટકા જેટલો છે. દેશના દરિયાઈ ઉત્પાદનમાં ગુજરાત 9 ટકા ફાળો આપે છે. ભારત દ્વારા નિકાસ કરવામાં આવતા સામાનમાં 22 ટકા સામાન 'ગુજરાતી' હોય છે. દેશના કુલ ટેક્સટાઈલ ઉત્પાદનમાં 24 ટકા ફાળો ગુજરાતનો હોય છે. તો દેશની કુલ 35 ટકા જેટલી ફાર્માસ્યુટિકલ પ્રોડક્ટ પણ ગુજરાતને નામ સાથે જોડાયેલી હોય છે. દેશના કુલ પેટ્રોકેમિકલ્સ ઉત્પાદનમાં લગભગ અડધોઅડધ એટલે કે 51 ટકા ઉત્પાદન ગુજરાત કરે છે.વિશ્વનું સૌથી મોટુ શિપ બ્રેકિંગ યાર્ડ ગુજરાતના ભાવનગર પાસે અલંગમાં આવેલું છે.રિલાયન્સ ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રીઝના નેજા તળે ધીરૂભાઈ અંબાણી દ્વારા જામનગર પાસે સ્થાપવામાં આવેલી રિલાયન્સ પેટ્રોલિયમ લિમિટેડ એ વિશ્વની સૌથી મોટી ગ્રાસ રૂટ રિફાઈનરી છે. દેશમાં ગેસ આધારીત થર્મલ ઈલેક્ટ્રિસિટીનો ઉપયોગ કરનારા રાજ્યોમાં ગુજરાત પ્રથમ ક્રમાંકે આવે છે. સાથે જ દેશના કુલ ઉત્પાદનમાં 8 ટકા જેટલો ફાળો પણ આપે છે.દેશમાં ગેસ આધારીત થર્મલ ઈલેક્ટ્રિસિટીનો ઉપયોગ કરનારા રાજ્યોમાં ગુજરાત પ્રથમ ક્રમાંકે આવે છે. સાથે જ દેશના કુલ ઉત્પાદનમાં 8 ટકા જેટલો ફાળો પણ આપે છે.ઉત્તર અમેરિકા વસતા ભારતીયોમાં 60 ટકા વધુ લોકો ગુજરાતી છે.ઉત્તર અમેરિકામાં વરસા અમેરિક કુટુંબોની સરખામણીએ ત્યાં વરસા ગુજરાતીઓની આવક ત્રણ ગણી વધુ છે.ભારતના કોઈ પણ રાજ્ય કરતા ગુજરાતના ફાળે સૌથી વધુ દરિયાકિનારો આવ્યો છે. દેશમાં કોઈ પણ રાજ્યની સરખામણીએ ગુજરાતમાં સૌથી વધુ કાર્યશીલ એરપોર્ટ્સ છે. કુલ સંખ્યા 12.છે.
